My mini challenge for Jan is to make £200 to overpay my mortgage. Still not sure how it's going to happen yet.

  • Hi Everyone

This challenge sounds like a brilliant idea so count me in. Being made redundant in March, so any extra money i can make will come in really handy.

Happy New Year, and good luck with the challenge x

    Hi all :)
Sorry haven't posted for a little bit but hope everyone had a fab Xmas and New Year :)
I had really fantastic news on the 30th and then on then on New Years Eve :) On the 30th my brother's fiancee gave birth to my niece :) Then on New Years Eve we paid the final arrears payment on our mortgage that we have been chipping away at for over a year and a half :D I'm ecstatic! What a fantastic way to start 2011 :)
We are going to use the new saving we are making to chip away at our council tax, secure loan and provident loan :)
The buzz of finally seeing the light feels absolutely amazing :D

    Happy New Year Everyone.
First day here. Had a no spend New Years lunch with friends.

Thought I'd say how I hope to save the 11k. So you know what's in the count.

    Any interest from savings
Any payments from mystery shopping and surveys
    Money off vouchers
    Cashback from Quidco etc
Anything I sell on Ebay or Amazon
Selling chutneys, home produced foods and craft
Also when I save money by making gifts for others - I'll give a price and include it in the total. Should add up nicely.

So today I took a home grown plant nicley wrapped and recycled some extra Chrissie present chocs over to my friend for lunch. I would put a price of £6 on that. So that's my starter for £6.

    Good luch everyone.
