  • Fingers crossed - but so far no probs at all. Everyone paid on the nail, all parcels arrived. It's the thought of doing it that is more daunting than the reality. Once you get started it's so easy. Need to be somewhat organised and dedicate a certain amount of time to it. I found it easier to be really disciplined and as soon as something had sold and I had received payment I wrapped up and labelled the parcel immediately and just left it in the hall for the next day to take to the post office.

I found it easier to photograph everything I wanted to sell before I listed anything, then uploaded all the photos to the laptop then just sat there over a couple of nights whilst watching TV doing the listings onto ebay.

    Good Luck:D

  • Hi emuchops

Don't get put off by the tales of problems with ebay buyers. By its very nature there are always going to be a few problems, but the good experiences far outweigh the bad ones - in the last year I have sold over 300 items, and have had 3 non payers, another 2 parcels lost in post and one person who said it wasnt what they wanted so they returned for a refund. It's a free listing weekend so I'm going to be listing more over the weekend.

Just take your time, look at the listings of people who have sold something similar to get an idea of what to put in a listing, start with just a couple of items and you will soon get the hang of ebay
    2011: £2697.99/£5500.
    2012: £3295.75/£12000
2012 Comp wins: gig tickets, wallchart, charity comedy gala tickets, shopping vouchers
  • Hi everyone, thanks for that I didn't realise it was free listing weekend this weekend. I got put off by the low standard grades I received on "item as described" even though all I was putting was the make, size and colour. I may try again though as I have a lot of winter clothes of my daughters to get rid of.

Adding £2.02 cashback to October total.

Also starting November total with £5.31 cashback and £1.50 mystery shopping.

    Happy weekend everyone x x
  • My Sky+ box has just died :( so I decided to upgrade to a Sky+HD box rather than pay out for a new Sky+ box at more than £150. With the offer I also get £100 of M&S vouchers. :j
I also received a £25 gift card today. Will update the other vouchers once I receive them.
What was the outcome of next years thread, I seem to remember someone asking what target people wanted ?

    2012

think it will be this chelt it opens it to the world or at least all of mse lol i liked the idea of the original thread idea where you had a starting amount to multiply on but to be honest a lot of folks had to make their start up so think this will be it

Hi guys! Haven't been on here in a while!!! On Thursday I found out I'm five and a half months pregnant  so no longer saving for my house! Saving for the bump!
  • I'm usually to lazy to tot up what I've earned, as it just seems to go in to the account at one end and come out as beer money at the other. Definitely going to give it a big effort next year though, as I'm hoping to get together a deposit for a flat, and I don't mind a bit of graft. I think 12k is going to be out of my reach, but 6k should be an achievable target.

And in fairness, I am going for a flat at the bottom end of the market!
    DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

    Total - 10762/10762 :)

Every silver lining has its cloud.
