Hi elly,
Good luck with your job application, the job I finally found is minimum wage and I work every other Sat, I only work 22 hours a week, but it's local, otherwise it's a 40 mile round trip to larger towns. I find working weekends a bind but with the part-time job and ebay it works for me. Five weekends out of of 8 is a lot but if you only have to do it for a few years to clear the debts then it will be worth it. I like the idea to make a dream amount, I couldn't do the 12,000 it would be too much pressure, although after going round a college today seeing courses for my 16 yr old, the costs for books, bus fare and sports wear maybe I should think about it!!

think its hard when you manage to mak a bit more to pay a debt rather than treat the kids but thats life at the mo and i know we are better off than a lot of folks so whinge over lolSo finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x0 -
I just lurk on this thread but I may start in 2012 I occasionally tried before. How to you work out how your total is going do you save it all or do you just add it up as you go along and keep note?Sealed pot challenge 18750

Laura, how you work out your total is pretty much up to you. Personally I add it up as I go along and then update my total on here about once a month.
Whether you save it is also up to you. I am a great believer in setting goals, and this is a way of seeing how you are getting on. I have a target of eliminating debt, but I also allow myself to retain 10% of the extra money as savings.2011: £2697.99/£5500.
2012: £3295.75/£12000
2012 Comp wins: gig tickets, wallchart, charity comedy gala tickets, shopping vouchers0 -

market research £50
surveys £18
ebay sales £50
mystery shops £11.50
amazon sales £17.192011: £2697.99/£5500.
2012: £3295.75/£12000
2012 Comp wins: gig tickets, wallchart, charity comedy gala tickets, shopping vouchers0 -
Thanks for clearing that up a bit for me I think I wouldn't be able to save it all but I will keep a log of it just to see how I get onSealed pot challenge 18750

Hi everyone, I haven't been around for a while as was feeling really demotivated. All that lovely money I saved by switching energy suppliers has disappeared with the price increases they have just introduced. My direct debit has gone from £51 per month to £93 per month. I have been looking this week at switching again but I want to save money and have some sort of incentive. I found this on MSE with uswitch and Npower.
Hope everyone is ok and looking forward to Xmas0 -
Hi all,
I'm new to posting but have lurked for a while on mse and followed this thread with interest. Last month I finally decided to bite the ebay bullet and got rid of loads of stuff that was gathering dust/unused/unwanted and managed to raise just over £200 which I probably wouldn't have done if I hadn't found this thread. So a big thankyou to all of you for giving me the motivation. If you run this thread next year I will be signing up.0 -

Mmecholet-I too am thinking of E baying and I notice that its free to list items this weekend. I have never done it before-did you find it quite straightforward? I'm worrying about all the hassle people seem to have on the Ebaying thread-people saying its not arrived, or not paying up etc...eek0
