Next week I am going to put my exercise bike on Gumtree as nobody uses it anymore and it is just taking to much room.
OOOO I'd take that off you since the one I have inherited has broken :(:(:(

Hi everyone, I not been on for a while as I have been busy with real work, which is great.
Dont think I made much if any towards this challenge in march, but April going well so far. I this month I am counting
-refund for something from solicitor £138
-refund from phone no (were charging me for something they shouldnt) £38.31
    - £15 mystery shopping
    - £22.50 ebay
Thats about £202.50, cant be bothered adding it up properly, lol.
Got a bit of work booked for my part time summer business, should be about £2000 - £3000 to add over summer on that alone.
Sorry I am vague - I dont like giving too much info away online as you never know who is watching (went through a horrendous personal finance prob few years back and it made me paranoid)

I feel like I'm losing motivation because this month I need to put my money towards saving incase I lose my job, and I also need to change my cam belt sooner rather than later, so that's going to come out of this months pay.

Ebay isn't doing too well either. I've sorted out my CD's though and made a spreadsheet so that I can sort out which ones need to go to musicmagpie. The rest are on amazon until they get down to a price where it wouldn't be worth selling them, then they'll go to magpie.

I've not updated my total yet because I like to do it at the end of the month to see how much I've put in each month. I need to do a carboot sale sometime soon. To top it all off I'll be losing around £35 in this months pay cheque cuz I'm ill today so off work :(

Never mind. Chin up and happy days, hey?

  • Hello
    Interesting thread
Though i have been getting the emails and that from MSE i hadn't registered with the forum though had read parts of it before. This thread however sounds right up my street. I'd love the idea of £11,000 but mmaybe left it too late in the year but will give it a go, from tiny acorns and all that.
Could be tricky as i don't earn 11,000 pa but will see how things go (money at work is being cut) But shall see how it goes.

I like the idea of a seperate bank account for these savings least that way you don't accidently spend it

So a bit of a novice reading thread for inspiration and ideas

I have decided to join you all :)

I doubt i'll reach the 11K as it would mean £43 per day but then again I have 2 businesses and a third launching in July so who knows!

Good luck to you all xx
 Thanks to everybody in the crafting threads who inspired me to start my own business!!
