Summertea -Just looking for a bit of advice i have some wood mounted rubber stamps to sell amongs other things but all my research on ebay is suggesting that my items won't sell. Seems like alot of work getting them on there if i am still not going to get rid of them.

Where do other people get rid of theirs? + do you have problems with buyers pretending they have not recieved the item?[/QUOTE]

Depends how much you want for them and how quickly you want rid. You can sell just about anything on ebay, just decide on your price ( free to list if you start at 99p, but it's up to you if you think they are worth a lot more than that). If i have an item and I want more than 5 quid for it then I usually list Buy It Now, which costs 40p for 30 days, and works out cheaper than paying a listing fee every7 days, plus you are getting the price you want for it.So far I have sold nearly 200 items on ebay, and only once did I have someone say they did not receive the item. It was only 99p so I just refunded straight away to save any hassle. Remember, when you read on the forums it's usually people who have had one problem or another but the majority of buyers just want to buy something, and are happy to get it on ebay.
Give it a try, you might need to put in a bit of effort to get your stuff listed, but if you are getting money for things you have no use for you win twice a) decluttering your space and b) getting some cash for doing it!

Another £1 today as I parked rather than got the tram... it's all complicated re parking permits etc but the result is I've saved £1 today so it's in the pot.

Hopefully I'll have some bigger amounts to put in soon... sent off a couple of old mobiles, listing some books today and next payday I'll be able to put some bigger money on the total.

Wow, everyone seems to be doing really well :T

Officially started my new promotion role this month, I am now a manager and earn extra so that is going to be added to my £11k challenge as didn't expect it, but very excited :D
  • its so difficult to do this! its so tempting if you save some money not to use it towards the food shop etc...im trying! xx

    Found another 1p today.

Also found a full mcdonald's hot drink loyalty card so I am adding £1.69 also to my total.

I found out today we are getting an extra 6p per hour at work from 3rd April, I suppose it helps to pay for the bus fare that has gone up.

Hi everyone, totals are looking good so far, well done all :)

Can I ask, I'm only including money made from ebay sales, surveys etc, I noticed some people are adding money saved too? Are they adding the money saved into a savings pot? If you save say £20 on the shopping that gets put aside?

I have saved over a thousand already on presents bought this year, and probably a fair bit on everyday items but wouldn't be able to put that money aside as I wouldn't have bought those presents at full price as I wouldn't have had the money iyswim?

Gets a bit confusing as I am trying to make 11k for 2011 rather than save 11k from what I already spend. Gets tricky when you already know where your money will go once the challenge is completed :)

Everyone has their own rules on this Savvybunny2009... personally I am adding money saved also e.g I saved £1 on Monday because I didn't have to use my normal method of transport to work. So I took that £1 and physically put it in my terramundi savings pot. Others are saying they've saved that £1 and adding it to their total but not physically putting it anywhere.
