  • Hello everyone old and new.

    sorry i've not been here for a while but i've not forgotten about you all.

    I don't know if you remember but i said i had students coming to stay here. Well here is a bit of info. Over the last four and a half weeks i have;

    made 19 beds and washed and ironed the linen.

    laid up for 87 breakfasts.

    made 87 packed lunches.

    cooked 87 evening dinners.

    but here's the really good news. I can add £1646.00 to my total:j .
    I would like to say it's been easy:rotfl: but it has has been hard especially for someone who hates ironing and keeping tidy and organized but it has been worth it. I will work out my totals and add them later as well as catch up on all the posts that i've missed.

    Aww wow that's a huge amount of effort! And the extra money is awesome! :)
  • Thanks Fredula

    there were times when i thought i must be mad having so many people staying at one time. At one point there were eleven of us in the house. But i got through, now i'm getting ready for more guests arriving on Sunday. I'm wondering if Mr Cornish farmer would mind sleeping in the barn, you never know when you might need an extra bed!

    On a serious note though, if anyone is considering having guests in your house then it is definately worth looking into. There are lots of good and bad points, but if you have a good sense of humour and you can smile happily when you have to explain how the shower works when neither of you understand what the other is saying then it is worth giving it a go. There's nothing to loose except perhaps your once good sense of humour, your happy smile, lots of sleep, and running around in your jim-jams!

    Just a quick sig update! Added £65.97 from mystery shopping, £10.75 from surveys, £4.55 from a product refund and the rest from sorting out my savings. Paid off an overdraft and opened up an ISA to pay off my mortgage. Two debts down, three to go and loving this challenge!!

    Just checked on TCB and the £62.62 for changing power supplier has just been paid so I have requested that too. :j
