morning everyone.
Elly lol about the foreign language students. haha.
my mum used to rent out her old place when she went away over the winter but hated coming home to the mess that usually needed sorting out. don't think she would do it with this one.
DH does disappear in there to practise music from time to time. but thats about it.
did you really !!!! a bottle of wine last night?
did you sleep any later today??
DJSKYLINE - that is the online mystery shopping site. one of our dribblers from last year used to do it.
DH is teaching someone concertina this morning so thats another little bit for the pot.
We got £16 back from an old current account of his that we closed.
Think I will get a small allowance through work this month as a contribution to electricity and heating etc as working from home so that will go in the pot when it comes.
Enjoy your sunday everyone!

Whenever you can! I found it difficult switching between night and day shifts for different jobs and just tried to sleep whenever I had a spare couple of hours - it's difficult to do at first but if you cant sleep properly as long as you completely relax for a bit it helps. As does caffeine!
Much easier if it's your sole job, as you just do everything in reverse - work 10pm-6am, chill for a couple of hours then sleep 9-5 or something similar.
I did find it a bit harsh some night leaving the family when they're just snuggling down to watch a film & did miss out on a bit of quality time, so I think it's important to be aware of that and make time for others in your life on a different time pattern if you consider doing it for an extended period.
I don't have a family living with me so that's okay for me! Been looking on all the supermarket sites and none of them seem to have any vacancies. Might pop in and ask in person, it's worth a shotJanuary 2011

Hi all,
I have done a few mystery shops but am yet to have a payout so not adding them yet, have another lined up for tomorrow. Also have done some freelance work again not yet been paid, so not added. I have piles of things that I need to try and put on ebay but cant seem to find the motivation and not sure if they will sell or not.
Is anybody able to refer me to retail eyes?
Many thanks

Hello!
What a weekend! I pretty much wrote yesterday off as we were looking for a car,got outbid on one we looked at and nearly got caught out by one we were going to look at until OH twigged that he was the guy that sold us a dodgy bora! He also has an ebay history of neg feedback for asking for more money that the highest bidder won the car at.So were still looking...
We did a car boot today, not put off by the little bit of rain that cleared up and made £80! sold most of the chocolate too which made about £35 so i got a huge return from my £5 that i spent. Unfortunatly i have to share that with the tax man! i was always told that the car boot in my area that are held on wednesdays are not worth the time, but a very nice lady told me today that they are better than the ones on sunday so we can do one a month to fit in with OH's shifts.Ive got about another £18ish to come from ebay too. I didnt get a payout fro quidco so fingers crossed i will get one next month, ive got £317 tracked but im not counting it until i get it.
Ive still got no odea what my total so far is so i need to work it out!
Im off to try a few of your suggestions0 -
Hi all:j:j
Im writeing this in blue so it stands out, i know how fast this thred can move and posts to get over looked.
I think your all doing great and you will soon all be at the top of your game:j:j
Iv got a quick ask if you dont mind.
This time last year someone on here brourt a box or two of books i think they came off a dead Rev who use to sell books to make more income>>>i could be very wrong on this.
Anyway the one who brout them wonted them to seel on amazon market place i think. i just wonted to know if they did any good doing this or was the box of books a waste of money??
Many thanks for your time.
Ill see you all at the top!!:j:j:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
Hi Halight. that dribbler bought more than a couple of boxes of books.lol think it was more like a vans worth. I do not know how it went as she then went on to have some complications in her life and eventually stopped coming on here. some people managed to stay in touch for a little while but that petered out too.
I think the sheer number of books was overhelmimg and difficult to sort through and to store. however as she bought them so cheap a profit was probably achievable even if she was still left with loads of them. was it worth it in terms of hassle and what to do with them all - I've no idea.
A box or 2 would probably be more manageable. but depends on the price, condition and subject matter and weight for posting etc.
Hope that helps

Hi Roxy,
I can refer you to retail eyes if you PM me your email address. I've done one assignment with them so far and they seem like a really good company.
I'm also finding it so hard to motivate myself to eBay stuff after the last time I tried, even though I have a big pile of stuff that I want to get rid of. Might try a car boot instead in the summer

Oopsie, I only woke up at 14:30 :rotfl:.
Got 15 watchers between my 2 MAC items and 2 people wanting BIN prices. Trying to work out what I would accept before responding. Not sure whether to just let them run or not.
