Hi Halight. that dribbler bought more than a couple of boxes of books.lol think it was more like a vans worth. I do not know how it went as she then went on to have some complications in her life and eventually stopped coming on here. some people managed to stay in touch for a little while but that petered out too.
I think the sheer number of books was overhelmimg and difficult to sort through and to store. however as she bought them so cheap a profit was probably achievable even if she was still left with loads of them. was it worth it in terms of hassle and what to do with them all - I've no idea.
A box or 2 would probably be more manageable. but depends on the price, condition and subject matter and weight for posting etc.
Hope that helps
Jo x
Many thanks for that info. Its a shame that she had to drop out and no longer come on here. Its a great place not just this bord but all of them.
What iv been thinking is the service that amazon dose were you up load the books details and print out a bar code for the book/s you then box all your books up and seed them off to amazon who store them store you. (you pay for this) You decide the pice you wont to sell the book at. When someone buys the book amazon seeds the book to the buyer. Thay again take a small few for doing this and to covering P&P Its not jsut books that they do this for they do it for allsorts of things.
Its just something im thinking about and i need to look into it a bit more and sort margins out and stuff as i said there is a storgae cost to it.
Anyway thanks again.:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
Can anyone refer me to free bingo site please. Please pm link.
Thanks0 -
Halight, I think that would work well for things where you are selling a lot of one thing and it is new or even a lot of different books but all new. However for secondhand books the hardest work is going through each one and writing an accurate description of the condition.amazon doing the posting out would save time but not the bigest part of the job I think especially generating a barcode for each as well. not saying don't do it just I am not sure if this works as well for large numbers of all different secondhand books as it might do for other products.
worth looking into though.

Ey up
I am in for this, Mostly going to be ebaying loads of my music collection (dont want to but out of work and needs must:()
Want to have a look into blogging but no idea what thats all about thus far.
The survey stuff looks like too much work for so little return to me when I can be doing ebay stuff instead.
Wont be counting savings etc just money made etc I think so doubt I will get upto 11k but having a pop anyway.
One thing thats Intriguing me is the bingo stuff. how does this free bing thing work? ie do I use some cashback site and get cashback and are some of them free bingo with no deposit need spending (notice that they might make you deposit before withdrawl but if its risk free I am up for that) which sites are reccomended both for the bingo and the cashback site to through (have seen costabingo mentioned lots)
Hope everyone is still cracking on and try to keep motivated as it will be so easy to get bogged down by everyday life and neglect it
Best of luck :beer:0 -

You can go through cashback sites for the bingo, sun and vernons are definately on there, the ones that I have been doing arent as far as I know, city bingo, costa bingo & sing bingo, PM your email address if you want me to refer you.
When you sign up you get a bonus amount to play with usually £10 but check as each site is different, then if you win say £20 you can add £10 of your own money and then withdraw it, the withdraw limit is £30 on the ones that I am playing, you also get access to more free bingo for 24 hours when you deposit and that is where I have won quite a lot as there are fewer people.

Hi all
in an effort to kickstart my £11k, I'm thinking of getting into selling seriously. I have an industrial outlet shop near me (well about 12 miles away) and I could buy from them and sell, quite well, I think. trouble is, I would have to pick up the goods in my car - no problem there EXCEPT - I seem to remember reading somewhere when insuring my car that it was for "domestic and pleasure and commuting to work" - do I need to inform my insurance company if I do this and is it likely to make my car insurance more costly?
Anyone know?
Thanks in advance!0 -
Hi everyone
I joined & got accepted on Retail Eyes but hoping that Idon't have the same problem of being able to actually see a description of the job, the same as I am having on GFK. My PC has been doing all sorts of weird things lately & I seem to have lost the ability to be able to see any PDF files as I cannot print off any coupons either. If anybody has any idea how to correct this, I would be very grateful!
I thought I had managed to sell some books on a site called Abebooks but it looks as though you have to get to £25 worth before you can actually cash in which is really annoying because they don't want most of the books I have to sell & I am only up to £11 worth.
I have sold something on ebay today for a grand sum of £1.05 which was lower than it is worth in my opinion but the risk that you take I guess, if you advertise it at 99p as I did. I have another thing with 6 watchers but no bids and is definitely worth more than 99p & it only has afew hours to go so I am wondering whether to withdraw it if that is possible?
My other ebay item was supposed to be collected yesterday & if not today but still no sign of them so what I am supposed to do now about that?
Oh, I also managed to list 3 items on the local bit of *etmums which took quite a while as my photos were too big apparently.Grocery aim £450pm.Spent £519 August, £584 July, £544 June, £541 May, £549 April, £517 March, £517 Feb,£555 Jan, £573 Dec, £465Nov, £561Oct, £493Sept, £426Aug,£496 Jul, £528Jun, £506May,£498April, £558 March, £500Feb, £500 Jan, £490 Dec, £555 Nov,£566 Oct, £505Sept, £450Aug, £410 July, £437 June, £491 May, £471 April, £440 March, £552Feb, £462Jan0 -

Apologies if there is already a thread on this.
I fall into the demographic of university student with very little money, no job (degree is hard enough already) and parents separated. I don't want to go into detail but for all the students out there, check your student finance dept. I found a bursary for a specific category I work in. There are often lots of grants based on your parent's job or previous work.hi can i ask if the mb workedWins:

I am currently free bingoing, but havent won anything yet lol
Really a bit stuck for ideas at the mo other than ebay, I don't really want to have to outlay to get a profit as that may not necesarily pay off.
I did a couple of surveys today and am creeping towards the payout for a couple of sites. Other than that, nada.
DS has asked me to get his Xbox online so I will get cashback and points on the cc so that will get added on when that tracks.
Need to try to get a regular extra income if possible. It sucks that we can't get OT at work at the mo.
Oh well, hopefully more of an update for you tomorrow!
