Well just home from work and had my tea! Did my usual 9 and a half hour day again so another (gross) £115 for the challenge! Not adding it in until payday in 13days..another days overtime next sat and my pay will be £840 take home for the fortnight as opposed to £666 with no overtime. Them 2 days make a massive difference and will be the difference between achieving my goals and completing the challenge and not. Really hoping i can get some decent jobs for Saturdays so i want to keep working them and not just feel i have to. Trying not to make it all about the money but in reality it is!
an extra £460 gross a month from just Saturdays....once i get going with my homer it will be an extra £300-400 net a weekend.Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

DJSKYLINE there are ways of making money in your situation but maybe you will have to think outside of the box more than some.
seems like you have weekends and evenings free. our elly buys stuff cheap from her local ebay as collect only and then sells on at carboots for a profit. that would fit in with mon-fri hours.
so would matched betting, blogging, weekend jobs, buying wholesale to sell on ebay, working chatlines, doing mystery shopping, online mystery shopping, using cashback websites, making crafts and selling at fairs or through folksy/etsy. there must be lots more but I need food so am going to leave it there. believing that you have no way of making extra money can be a self fulfilling thought.
good luck with finding ideas.

Hey Jo, Thanks for the tips. Indeed I am trying my best to think of different ideas and so far im trying what you say. I look at local collection bargains but its tough not having a car too! I normally buy car stuff and selll it on for profit on some club websites im on which works every few weeks when good bits come along. Matched betting seems complicated, iv tried to understand. Maybe ill read again. Looking for weekend jobs but i live in small town with not many shops but looking at other cities close.
Online mystery shopping, anymore details? Dont buy stuff so cashback not an option!
Thanks again for the message! x0 -
Hello all, hope you are getting on well. I have done some totting up and shifting around and worked out i have earnt £487.58 so far - am happy with that. i will also have some extra pay winging my way but won't count that until I get it!
My money making has been mainly online, a couple of lucky bingo wins etc plus a bit of matched betting and supplemented with the change jar count up (which I will include as it goes on debts) feeling positive indeed and hoping more money finds its way to me on free bingo tonight!DFW Nerd #1310 -
DJSKYLINE - the online mystery shopping is edigital research I think.
how about a blog about the experience of car free living from your perspective.
or offer your services locally to help people plan car free routes for some of there journeys.
do you have any hobbies/ skills/ expertise/ qualifications.
What do you enjoy doing?
it may take some time but I am sure you will find things you can do.
I saw someone walk into a cafe I was in last year and ask for a job. they gave him a pinny and a trial day and took him on. they hadn't advertised in any way at all. so just shows what you get for asking. won't always work but sticking your neck out can be worth it.
when I was 16 my 2 friends and I walked the length of a very long promenade asking for summer jobs. right at the far end one shop took us on and we took it in turns being the one in work. was great we all got extra money but still had time off to enjoy the summer.

I'm not convinced about my wine box wine - tastes a bit bitter to me but may give it another go!
great find with the rocking horse. don't have much luck local ebay here either they are listed nationally for posting and get a lot of bids or they are big car parts or 3 piece suites.lol. I probably don't look regularly enough though.
will laugh if you sleep in tomorrow after being up so early the last 2 days.
