Afternoon all. A bit stagnant on the money front here, but I have been having a clear out and filled a box ready for car boot season. A couple of bits and pieces ready to go onto ebay. Also just hit £20 on DY so waiting for that to verify before requesting an amazon voucher.
  • Im still about not really made much on money making front few bits coming in from bingo so will update when it hits the bank

My dad has been up for the last 2 weeks so I've been keeping an eye on the thread but couldnt really do much I'm back in full swing now just need some ideas first lol :cool:xx

tutti can i ask where you went wrong with matched betting

Really silly mistake thought bets were placed on both sides, had long odds to try and increase at the exchange, we always try to build up at the exchange with the "free" money and put what ever we've deposited at the bookies back into the current accout therefore whatever is sitting in the exchange is always money that we never had in the first place :D

So used free £25.00 pound at bookies matched it at the exchange but hadn't finalised the bet at the bookies  As you can guess the team with the long odds won and we lost over £100 at least it "free money" lesson learnt anyway :o now to get back on the horse

Just found this thread - I'm a massive moneysavingexpert junkie and as I've been doing pretty well this year, thought I'd join the challenge :)

I <3 cashback websites at the moment - got my equifax £17 pending from top cash back :) , also, I'm going travelling in NZ for a year in May, managed to save a good £40 minimum on travel insurance using comparison sites based on the average most places were charging & have £48 cashback pending from that too.

Last year I managed to get a mobile phone & 18 month contract for £25 a month & 17 months cashback making it under £2 a month with free web, calls & texts. Awaiting my second instalment of cashback in th next 25 days :)

Over Christmas I took on 2 seasonal jobs on top of my ongoing part time admin job. I worked at Card Factory & Asda Night Shift for 3 months & 4 weeks respectively & though it nearly killed me, I've now just finished being paid all I earned & now I'm only £60 over drawn instead of over £1000. GOOD TIMES!

Can't recommend supermarket night shifts enough for people really wanting to save & earn well.
-You need no qualifications (though I have a degree, this is still my highest paying job to date)
-You get unsociable hours rate & can earn upwards of £8 an hour in some places
-It screws up your social life so you don't go out & spend money - or just have one drink and leave early!
-It's quiet & customer free (in many cases)
-Work in the same place long enough and you'll likely get a discount on your shopping=more money saving!

    Woop woop!

If you worry, you die..and if you don't worry, you die... so why worry?! :D
  • Hey everyone, just wondering...what is PAD-ing??? Plus how do I know if someone has quoted me?

    Thanks
