Appliances Online - avoid!

While at first it all seemed to go well as they removed our old fridge freezer , a service we had paid £50 for, as they brought the new one to the door a speck of drizzle hit the delivery man at which point they put the new freezer down saying they are "not allowed to connect in the rain" After some angry negotiation with their head office it was clear the rain had moved off and they did continue. Part of the extra payment was to take away all packaging. This also didn't happen. When we did get it removed we found the freezer was dented. Customer services claimed that they didn't have to replace it as it had been plumbed in. We did eventually negotiate a small refund; £145 fromm a £1200 pound freezer. But this was after way too much cajoling on our part. But in the face of having to wait even longer and in the face of crappy delivery and customer service we regrettably took this offer.
Avoid AO. WORST SERVICE EVER.0 -
Well I'm currently having a bad experience with Appliances Online (Australia). I'd used them for white goods a number of years ago (where they use their own delivery infrastructure) and have found it to be fantastic. Yes, you have to spend a day at home waiting for it to arrive, but the delivery responsiveness is still pretty good. For other categories however they are atrocious. I made my order over a week ago and AusPost has not even picked it up! A dodgy ebay vendor would do a better job.0

I'd suggest posting on an Australian website. You are talking about a completely different entity.0 -

I was given a delivery date and the truck arrived with two delivery men. They said they "didn't do stairs" and left it on my doorstep in the rain.
Thanks AO.
If this was an American style Fridge Freezer I can understand why they would not deliver it to the second floor0 -
