Makes me wonder, depsite others saying they have had problems with more money trying to be taken, just how many of you are prepared to give up all your credit card details for the sake of a 'bargain'. Whats more, you are then going back with a different card. You should be more careful as it might not turn out to be the bargain you though and I would advise on you checking your bank statements in a few days. Once a smaller transaction is authorised and the money has gone through, usually the larger amounts are claimed and this is how card fraud through the internet works.

James, how did you find out they had tried to take 2 further payments after the £3.99? This indicates that they DO hold ll of your card details as if they were held by a 3rd party, they would not have access to the details to be able to take more money from it. They now have your details to try and take more and you will only find out if the card company lets it go through (after all you have already bought something) and you find out in a month when you check your statment. It's a good job that the card company were on the ball for you James. Maybe the others who bought 99p DVD's should check their accounts or with their banks to see if the same thing happened to them.

I cannot even begin to tell you how easy it would be to set up that website with all of those details!! How will you know it is not me? Common sense people, please.

I ordered yesterday and still showing up as awaiting dispatch on the site however the money is showing as debited from my card this morning around 10.00, usually most sites i order from take payment at dispatch so wondering wether the account info is upto date or it's been dispatched and on it's way, or possibly they've taken payment early.

It had been dispatched, just been delivered :) Toy story 3 ordered and delivered within two days for 2.99 that's what I consider a decent service, sure there's going to be a few problems for some people with the amount of people being told about the site via mse and other sites, reading back through the thread though the actual amount of people with problems is quite small.

If everybody worried about every site that wasn't that well known there wouldn't be any new sites and the grabbits board might as well close. Sure there are dodgy sites out there but that's also what insurance and card protection are for.

Just pleased they were on the ball, James.

MSE worries me sometimes, no matter how many times it happens to someone, people are still happy to give their credit card details to all and sundry because they want to get a bargain.

Out of all the people who gave their card details, how many of you actually got something or all that you ordered. Its easy to set up an 0844 number too so don't let this fool you. I could do that today, it does not make me more credible.

Has anyone from MSE commented about the other transactions yet since they advertised this in the newsletter? James, have you emailed them and told me them about these 2 trasnactions?

my order went through without a problem and arrived this morning unlike the harry potter dvd's from sainsburys which I am still waiting for despite it being dispatched on the 3rd. Personally I am very impressed with bee!

blue_monkey don't know if its me but you seem to be a stirring so and so. agreed the c/s seems to be a bit below par at the mo but if your that fussed i suggest you contact mse_lee he put the info up and tell him to get in here and start putting the fires out that you seem to be flaming with your big fan! i was always told got nothing good to say don't bother and so far i haven't seen one constructive thing come out of your mouth or even any research at all. below is info on bee website which you have seemed to miss including normal land line number and below that is the hidden whois info i have also found took 5mins to find not that you have bothered to look either. now as a polite message from me to you get of your bum and actually do so 'go get mse lee if you think we are all being done over'

p.s. i suggest you read the BBC news http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-11935539 there are issues with wikileaks hack attacks effecting service

    quote
In particular, it said that an authentication service for online payments known as Mastercard's SecureCode, had been disrupted.
Other readers have also said that they have had problems with online payments. The scale of the problems is still unclear
    end quote

and thats what we know about, i suspect bee have put some back thru again as they have thought they haven't cleared any person having issues should just phone there credit card supplier and get the cc to sort it as people didn't authorize it and most people have banks secondary system with a password which i do and worked fine but guess i was lucky but at end of the day its the credit cards responsibility in the end!

info you haven't bothered with btw

I just wanted to add a little story on here: A few years ago I was one of the first business retailers using eBay and I was the only 'proper' retailer of this brand on there so there was not a lot of looking around to see what the competition was, anyhow, one day I noticed someone had a shop on eBay that was selling the same lines and newer ones that we (as retailers) could not get as they were 'next season' so I had a moan about it and the company started investigating.

It turned out that these people were advertising the stuff for sale with huge discounts on the RRP and, on top of this, then they were nicking other stuff to order. Things would come up online to buy, things that they had managed to nick that day.....

When the people selling were raided (yes, they were employees and they got caught, some got prison sentances) they literally had nicked thousands of ££ worth of goods and their own little sideline going, making themselves look like they actually were this company and people thought they were buying direct.

NEVER take what you see at face value when buying online. I do all my shopping online but never without first investigating the company if it is not one I have heard of before, and I usually even call them before buying if something if the price seems 'too good to be true'.

So, SOME of you might have your items but they have all your credit card details..... Do you actually know where your goods came from. Have they got a PO BOX address to return to? You might think I am being too cautious but I have seen first hand how underhanded greedy people can be and someone on this site has already found his card trying to be used - this in itself should ring alarm bells for everyone. I'd be making sure I was calling my card company and telling them not to process further payments from Bee.

You may call it s*** stirring but if warning people is that then so be it.

Below par customer service? There has been NO customer service from what anyone here has said!! And you are suggesting that people should give their credit card details to a company that has a) no customer service to report and b) has tried to take someone's money twice, without being authorised.

Question is: Has anyone actually been able to get through to bee? What about on those email addresses you have quoted? Or the telephone numbers? There aeem to be enough, what about calling the holding company? Anyone tried?

Oh, and if the payment has 'been put through twice more in error' it would have been put through twice more at 99p as this is the amount James authorised for that order when he paid online - in fact they tried to take £7.99 twice when he had not authorised this should ring alarm bells in itself. The duplicate transaction would relate to that card and that amount UNLESS they had set up another request for payment using his card details. Which I think is, er, fraud.

But go on, give them your home address, birth dates and credit details if you want (did they ask for a security question like mothers maiden name too?), they sound credible enough to me. NOT!!
