    Thanks so much.

You need to find the ends of each cable which aren't in the rooms. Is your aerial on the roof or in the attic? If in the attic, or the cables go to a distribution amplifier in the attic, it should be fairly straight forward. Assuming the cable ends are in the attic and have a normal aerial connector (the bottom two connectors in the link) on each, unplug them and join the two cables together with one of the connectors at the top of the picture in the link.

    Attic or roof????

It is a rented property so i have very limited knowledge. I could see one antenna on the roof. Then in my garden, there was like a 'electrical' box from where 3 cables go to each room for normal aerial.

    Cheers

Can you open the box in the garden to see what's in it? Sounds like you need to link the cables from the rooms with the HD box and the bedroom Sky box together inside the box in the garden. Where does the third cable go to and is the aerial connection in that room used?

  • I will open the box tomorrow.

I think there is a cable from aerial to that box(NOT sky box). Then there was output of the 3 cables that goes to the 3 rooms. These has nothing to do with sky connections.

    Cheers

Don't be surprised if it doesn't work, the Sky Magic Eye is very temperamental to long cable runs and even worse, any joints in the cable.

To be honest, you would be better off running a direct cable from the Sky receiver to your second TV.

Sorry, I probably wasn't clear. I understand that the box isn't currently connected in any way to any of your Sky boxes. What you need to do is leave the lead coming from the aerial connected to the lead going to the third room (the one with no Sky box) which will allow you to still use the aerial for that room. You need to disconnect the other two (the ones going to the aerial points in the rooms with the two Sky boxes) and join them together. Then hook up the other ends to the HD box RF2 connection and to the magic eye in the other room as described in post #10.

It's possible that they Sky magic eye might play up if the cable runs are excessively long or if there are dodgy connections in the cable run, but it's still worth trying. Problems are much more likely to be down to bad joins that to cable length (unless really, really long) and bad joins can be fixed.

You can still send the Sky signal to the other room using this method without the magic eye, but it does mean you have to back to the HD room to change channel, etc.

Have you enabled the Sky box RF power as detailed in post #11?
