Just popped on lappy to email uni assignment to my work to be printed ;)

Freezing here at moment. I'm going to need to take the car in today as I need to buy some heavy bits at lunch and I'm meeting girls for dinner after work, finger's crossed the car park isn't too icy!

Not much OS here again today, I'm taking left over HM soup for lunch at work and that's about it!

    Have a good day all

Icy and very chilly here this morning DH struggled to scrap the ice off the windscreen before he left!

Had a good day yesterday got the xmas stuff sorted that I wanted and had a leisurely look around the shops, went really early and was glad I did as I left at noon'ish it was really busy. Did call in at MrA when I got back to pick up some alcohol they had an offer, very glad I did as there wasn't much left and it was really good price, still have a little left to get but can do that over the next week or two.

I managed to finish DS2's bedroom so that's much tidier and took the 4 bin bags to the recycling centre.

Dinner last night was pork chops, mash and veg. Dinner tonight will be a quickie as DS1 has Cadets, general leftovers I think.

Need to write xmas cards at some point, especially those to be posted. Xmas always comes after DS1's birthday, I don't put any decs, do cards etc until after his birthday. His birthday is on Thursday.

Not much else to say really, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

    Morning !!!!!!!!!!!!

It snowed again last night, thank gawd, so at least i can walk to the corner shop if needed without falling on my a$$.

The snow is inches thick out side out house, incredibly slippy and dangerous. But its does look beautiful, OH has set off to work, so he's happy as the roads were like glass yesterday.

Snips (ds2) woke up coughing and vomiting, so a day off from school for him. Coddy's (ds1) still going though.
Nasty colds are doing the rounds in our household at the mo, were all in the arly stages, so plenty of soup will be eaten over the coming week.

Plans for today, carry on tdfying, i'm back on the flylady scheme, the house needs it. Have to wait in for British Gas to do the gas safety check and start sorting out all our stuff.
We really need to get rid lots of our junk, and reduce our possessions. Not really good just before christmas, but hey needs doing. Think were having soup for tea:rotfl:

    Have a good day all!

Woke up to nice dry windows today, no condensation. I don't know if it is because it's slightly milder or because we had 2 dehumidifiers going yesterday and the heating on most of the day. Whatever the reason it feels very comfortable and no wet windows to wipe down.

I've been watching the news and doesn't look good at all for Scotland, please keep safe everyone.

DH just taken DS to school so best get myself dressed.

    Stay safe

Hoar frost here today as well and -7 outside.

Still feel grotty and have had my first neb this morning got to go back to Dr on Friday to see if there is any improvement if not it will be more of the same next week.

I let the kids do the tree and the decs last night because I didn't feel up to it, I must say that they have done a good job.

DS has gone to school but I noticed he needs some new jumpers and cardis so I will get him some in Asda on Thursday plus all the booze; then apart from fresh stuff on Christmas Eve we are done.

Plan for today is to write some more cards and wrap some pressies - not much else because I am supposed to be resting.

Well I am off to grab a coffee.

Keep safe and warm everyone especially if you are up North. x

    Morning All,
Very icy today with freezing fog again. Woke up feeling carp & had planned to go back to bed with a cuppa & yesterdays x word once DS had gone to school, he however would not get up despite the big bowl of porridge I made to fuel him. Cue much hissing by me trying not to wake DP & DD up in the process, finally got him out of door, made cuppa, got upstairs &, a bang at the door, at last we have post (1st time in 10 days) big parcel for me so thats a few more prezzies sorted. Had just put things away when DS comes back in, he's missed the bus! So sat & had a hot choc with him then sent him on his way & have decided I will just battle on & maybe have a nap later. So birdies fed & watered, fish fed, small piece of ys gammon on for sandwich meat later, DW emptied, WM on, LR & DR tidied. Have to strip last nights chicken at some point but cannot face that yet. Also need to go to library. Lunch today will be hm soup & bread, dinner tonight will probably be rissotto with the lo chicken.

Tru thanks for the link, I know it's just another example of how commercialised Christmas has become, but for me as soon as I see it I know it's time to get my act together.

Hugs, spoons & hi5's to those in need,
    Keep warm & safe everyone.

  • Morning All,

Well its pretty much the same outside my window as it was yesterday. The only things we'll be outside for are snowball fights and walking th dog. Well when I say walking the dog I am lying, she bounds through the snow which is almost the same height as her! So funny! :D

NPM are you getting excited yet? :D I hope your parents and anyone else coming manages it, and they all stay safe on the way.
Mioliere, still thinking of you and yours.
JackieO hope your brother (David I think you said?) is hanging in there and getting a bit stronger every day - loved hearing your story about his birth.

I am about to make a vat of lentil soup to keep us going for a couple of days, and some patry for sausage rolls, I don't know if I CBA'd making puff pastry so I might just do a flaky one. As OH has no work now as a result of the weather, the house will be blitzed today and the tree is coming down from the loft. I have lots of wee jobs for OH to do that he's been avoiding, so he'll be busy :rotfl: The boys' school is closed, so they have lots of plans for the snow, and of course, there will be time out from the domestics for us all to go and have fun.

Have a good day all, stay safe, and Marie, I read the snow is coming your way, hope you're warm and snuggly in that house. :)

Hugs spoons and Hi5's!! Am I just missing her or is Bargainbird missing?
