I saw a DPF in Jessops today that came with remote control. We'd like to buy a good one as a Christmas present for someone who has 100's of photo's from world trips. Does the Amazon one come with remote control please? Thanks.0

Says the person typing on his PC.....or does yours run on hamster power?!?!?!0 -
I've been thinking about getting one of these for my mum for Xmas but they were a bit too expensive - may give the £50 one a go0

Apologies to the original poster for being off-topic, but allow me to respond to the above quote and also to the mis-guided poster named "To-poor". The average low-powered PC probably consumes around 20 times more power than that digital picture frame. This obviously isn't the right forum to discuss global warming etc, but for those who don't have time to consider the merits of the various arguments, let me leave you with my considered conclusion: nothing you change about your daily habits will make a worthwhile difference. If change is needed, it's needed on a governmental scale, globaly.Mal27 wrote:Not to take sides but just stating the obvious - presumably the PC is switched off when not actively used... a display like this would be switched on most of the time.0 -

I agree entirely. Every day when I wake up I turn the power off to my digital alarm clock because I really enjoy resetting it every evening. Actually, I like to take the batteries out of all my clocks when I am not looking at them. I also like to turn the power off to my security and fire alarms when they are not going off.
Yeah right...
Come on and wise up! If you are even remortely qualified to pass comment, your life will rely strongly upon many items which are 'always on' and you most certainly would not turn off all the time, even if you had the choice!
And if you still want to complain, why dont you put your money where your mouth is and get one of these machines made which includes motion sensitivity or the likes and thus turns off when there is no one in the room!? Too much hassle you say... well thanks for speeding up the destruction of the planet then.2 + 2 = 4
except for the general public when it can mean whatever they want it to.0 -

thinking of getting one of these...

does anyone know if this one is better/worse/as good? I'm not great on the spec of things so any help would be appreciated.
