I have to agree that it is more than I expected for the money. I thing it would make an excellent buy for Christmas and nt too far behind the Philips one which costs three times as much. Thanks again to the OP.Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0

Is this a wind up? Why not consider the materials and energy used to print out photos onto photo paper? Or shall we not take photos at all, and while we are at it, we can stop using cameras too
Tempting stuff this photo frame, i guess i'll just make do with my laptop screen at the moment

Could people who started playing with this thing please post their optimal settings to get the best picture quality?

Now your getting it! Because there will be nothing left to take photos of if we keep going! Im sure you must be the type of person that says "but we have to drive our 4 x 4's"!0 -
stolt wrote:yeah can also say that for 50.00 was very impressed, i have it sitting on my desk at work, got a 512mb card in it with about 200 pictures on it and everyone at work wants to get one now. I didnt play around with the pciture sizes but it looks fine to my eyes. tbh i wasnt expecting much for 50.00.
my only gripe was that that sd card can be seen protruding from tthe bottom of the frame through the clear plastic.
Thanks for the quick review. Pleasantly surprised to hear that it's good value.
Is it possible to adjust the time that each photo is displayed for? Is there a 'random' setting?
Seems like the screen would be good enough to stick it on a desk but probably too small for a mantle piece type location.0 -
God, you've really stumbled onto the wrong forum here mate. Thousands of people are dying everyday all around the world and what are you doing about it? trying to make us feel guilty for using a "photo frame" by some silly remarks!!! Please do yourself a favour and go and get a life.To-poor wrote:Now your getting it! You can't adjust the time of the slideshow but you can change the pattern of transitions (including a random option). It is not at all too small for a mantle piece type location in comparison to your normal 4*6 or even 5*7 frames.mattb wrote:Thanks for the quick review. I think that behind the rantings there is a serious point. We do need to think about what we are doing to the planet and do we all need another gadget to use up some of the world's resources.
Having said that I quite fancy one.We all evolve - get on with it0 -

Thanks for the info. A real shame about the lack of a timing change. I'm sure it wouldn't bother most people, but the Philips one can be adjusted from between 5 seconds to 1 day on each photo. I normally have it on 5 or 10 minutes as it gives you a chance to have a close look if you want. A 10 second per photo slideshow is a bit distracting. I find it's nice to occasionally glance at my Philips one and see a photo I haven't seen for a long time, if ever. More relaxing. It would be too distracting to have on a desk too, if the photo changed every 10 seconds. Just my opinion. Otherwise I might have got one.0 -
as another poster mentioned you can change the transitions, i have mine set on random but you cant change the display time, i actually think the standard setting is enough. I got two and one will be set up at home, but it coudl be set up for the mantle but you will have the power cord trailing down (i suppose as long as you have no little uns to pull it down it should be fine).Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0
