these are great in theory but you have to remeber what your buying is essentially a tft screen

if you buy budget you get budget

they did a test of these on the gadget show on chl 5 recently, althought they seemed a little harsh most models they looked at were rubbish until you got to high £100's.

if anyone has one of these or gets one i would be interested to know how they get on

Well my Philips one is far from rubbish and they are now around £120.

The aspect ratio would either put black bands either side of your photos orstretch them. I imagine portrait aspect photos would look a bit rubbish. Has anyone actually bought one of these cheap ones?

I'd love one of those. I saw one on Ideal World and it cost £100.

    OP :T

you may have just solved my "what to buy my mum for christmas" problem :)

how the hell do these things work? mains/battery etc?

you leave a card in them all the time and you can have like a slideshow?

i have some research to do now i guess :D

I would guess 2 x AA batteries should do it

Yes, ridiculous idea. You could certainly buy a 2nd hand laptop for the same sort of price, but that sort of misses the point. i.e. small, quiet, simple, low power requirement (about 5W), easy to use, looks good.

Any Feedback from anyone who's already got it would be appreciated.
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????

You could sellotape an old laptop to the wall and then get an old photo frame and some sticky back plastic to make it look pretty! LOL!!

Seriously tho, has anyone received one as I am waiting to see what the quality is like before I order??
