well the guttering has actually been done on the back!!!!!!! looks as lovely as guttering ever could, can't wait for it to rain now, we won't get it pouring outside the patio doors and it will actually go into the water butt which is currently empty and has sat empty all winter.

Car will cost £350 just for this bit which will get it through the MOT then it needs brakes and probably a new cam belt, hence the change in holiday plans.

Finally ticked another thing off the to do list from ages ago - have sorted out new phone and broadband - got an offer for broadband for free for a year so have taken that, phone sky to cancel theirs but they didn't offer any deals so we're off. We did get a deal on the HD part of the package so that has a repreive for another 6 months.

My mum is now bed bound, she's done something to her pelvis which is causing severe pain when she even thinks about moving let alone actually moving. She is my dad's carer so the new care plan is coming into play before we ever thought it would. I'm off shopping for them tomorrow and will visit at least alternate nights. Dad sounded quite low which was hard to hear, he tries to be chirpy despite all that has been chucked at him in the last 30 years or so.

so feels like a day of extremes here today, been on the cusp of tears many times, good job those in my office kept quiet as i think it wouldn't have taken me much today to shout, scream or cry.

mum could be out of action for 3 weeks or more, if there's no improvement in a week then she will have to have xrays etc and may end up in hospital. I hope she doesn't.
