nothing as exciting as Cantonese Chev, i'm looking to learn Italian.
makeup - i've never used gumtree so would never had thought to look on there, but i shall have a peek. Not much of an Italian community round here as far as i know so not sure how much there will be on offer, but i will have a look.
Cakes are temporarily on hold at the moment as i'm once again starting the dieting lark. I shall be making some for OH though.0

got the annual allotment accounts done tonight which is well in advance of Thursday's meeting. Glad to be handing it over to another person aka mug! Hoping it will help me see the allotment as a big adventure rather than as a chore 0 0

whilst i am not LT. KAT think about what you use a lot of.that is what i tend to grow! so i grow alot of tomatoes, and am trying peppers this year. I do new potatoes in containers. Then if I have any more room I plant things in the beds like herbs between the flowers (though when I get my own place there won't be any flowers as such)
 hope this helps

Kat we're still beginners but started in our front garden with growing things. Last year we achieved spuds, beans, butternut squash, toms, peppers, aubergines, though the latter were grown in the greenhouse.
This year we're really trying to get control of the allotment and make better and more frequent use of it.
chev is right though, grow what you like to eat. We got a few onions two seasons ago and they were lovely.0

Good plan. I really want to do it myself as even though the VAT increase doesn't directly affect food, it will as suppliers will have to charge more etc, want to beome as self-sufficient as possible.Loan - [STRIKE]£6991.95[/STRIKE]£6180.01; Barclays Res - [STRIKE]£600[/STRIKE] £0 - £22 per week , NWB Grad O/D - [STRIKE]£1185[/STRIKE] £887.86 18.28% SWALEC - [STRIKE]£700[/STRIKE] £0 NPOWER [STRIKE]£220[/STRIKE] £0 Kays - [STRIKE]£591.28[/STRIKE] £0 TOTAL DEBT - [STRIKE]£10,288.23[/STRIKE] £7,000.01 31.96 % Paid off.
