luckily EH we had a change of plans and didn't travel so we spent the day at home with my family.

Excellent! And well done on the debt busting achievements too - remember it is a positive spend on the windows, and a verynecessary one, rather than being frivolous or reckless. I'm sure even Mr Lewis himself would agree with that spend! xx

i've come to terms with spending the money on the windows :) but i'm going to enjoy being in the four digits even if it's just for a couple of weeks this time. and it's over the year end which is even better.

    well todays update:
been christmas shopping for next year (i know it's a bit previous).
We've bought for OH's two sisters and neice, my sister, neice and one thing towards my other neice's gift.
I've also bought my neice's birthday pressy for Feb.
I've got some really good bargains that i'm happy with.
I've also picked up some nice wrapping paper half price, some is specifically christmas paper but a few rolls will be suitable for birthdays so that's great as i find that it always adds up when you get to birthday time. I've stayed away from the cards as i still have some left from a few years ago when i got some £7 boxes for 75p.

On another note i've just spotted my cat trying to eat the christmas tree! What's really worrrying me is that it's a fake tree! i hope she's ok and that she doesnt' actually managed to swallow anything.
  • That's the sort of daft thing our cat would do!!

she is a bit of a liability, not the sharpest tool in the block! but she is lovely. Your cat is very beautiful and regal EH. Actually it was the cat who's photo i posted who was having the taste of tree.

    well done..you're well ahead.
  • That's a brilliant idea. I'm thinking of getting one per month now to put away as Christmas does get very expensive (although whether I will or not is another matter)! Hope you had a lovely Christmas and have a fabulous MSE 2011 xx (ps congrats at being 4 digits) xx

i try and get things early kat, some would say i'm a tight git :) but people can have more for what i can afford to spend on them by getting things in the sale.
  • I see no issues with sale buying for people, it doesn't make anyone a tight git, it means you can get someone something they would really cherish without breaking the bank! xx

Hello all, just want to start by wishing you all a Happy New Year, i hope it brings us all Happiness and Joy.

Today has been pretty slow. OH's been at work since 8 and finishes in five minutes, and what have i done? Nowt, nada, nothing. Though i have gotten dressed.
Today's list isn't going to be very challenging - it is New Years day after all. :)
    1. Make bathroom all clean and shiney
    2. Make kitchen all clean and shiney
    3. Make a chicken roast dinner (at tea time)
    4. Take down decorations.

    Debt currently stands at £9,899.41
