i've missed you as well Pippi, i think i'm in a hormonal dolldrum at the moment so everything is being blown out of proportion.

The calor gas cylinder has just died. It lasted just under a month, but it's been a cold month, and as i've been ill i've had it on more than i normally would have. Going to send OH to get a new one on his way to work tomorrow so at least i know it won't run out on christmas day or something equally rubbish.

OH baked cakes whilst i was at work today. He's been wanting to for ages, but has only ever used a packet mix before. Today he braved my cookery book and made banana cake, we have it in little individual loaf tins also in some muffin cases. I'm not going to mention the fact that they were just put on a tray and not in a muffin tray to keep they're shape, as i'm just impressed that he's done this off his own back.
Well done Mr LT! he's one in a million.
  • LT he's a keeper - I've been a bit in the doldrums too - work related mainly - onwards - glad you'll get the gas sorted.

    :)

i'm trying to forget what's going on at work at the moment.
I have signed up for a how to elimate stress from your life course though. Apparently it's a 121 and you work together until you've worked through it all (that day!) i only hope its not one of the trainers in particular as he really does my head in, he's too keen, and that won't help my stress levels at all.

You're right about Mr LT, he's definitely a keeper, as he says Mr LT's are for life not just for Christmas. :)
  • aww lovely mr lt! flowers occasionally are lovely - im part fond of lilies - cheap, smell gorgeous and last ages!! Think we will all be taking sharp intake in Jan!

hi still a bit bunged up but much better.
    Still freezing though.
Had a bit of a panic today, the calor gas cyclinder ran out last night, we went to change it at the usual place and they had none. Rang round a few places and none to be had, finally found one but the price has gone up £5 in a month, that's just mad. I am glad we got it anyway as it's our living room heating.
Decided to pretend to be a housewife today and wiped the condensation off the windows, unfortuantely found ice in the living room, i knew it was cold. At the moment i've managed to get the temp. up to 15 so still something to be worked on. Thank god for fluffy blankets, socks and cardi's!

If you forecast it not lasting the winter, it might be an idea to lay in another one. I know it's expense, but its not like they go mouldy.

i did think about that Z but we'd then have to rent another cyclinder which i think is about £30-40 plus the refil in it. I missed an opportunity to get one from someone at work, spent too long thinking about it and then had to kick myself.
