Hi LT you know I did kinda wonder why I wasn't seeing your diary come up.

Sorry you are having such a tough time at work. I think all of us are having stressful times for one reason or another. Sometimes it makes us shrink away from support because we don't want to growl at anyone.

I have already upset one person on these boards recently with what I thought was a tongue in cheek list but actually wasn't taken that way.

So I am glad to see you back.

Good luck with the operation. I hope that you can get it done in the most cost effective way. You never know your GP might surprise you and fast track you on the NHS.....(ok there was a small pig flying past the window just then lol)

Hope the work situation improves in the coming weeks

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

hi chev, i think you're right theres a lot of people who because of their current situations aren't laughing off what they previously would have done. I know i read someone going on about two ladies on the great british bake off (or something like that) and how they should be out in the garden growing veg rather than baking with the implication that they're fat. I don't know if that's true as i don't watch it but i did feel that i could have easily taken offence, as a fat person, and it wasn't aimed at me at all. IYKWIM
unfortunately i think the problems at work may go on for some time, we're in a period of change which will last at least 3-4 years, and although my unit won't officially lose people until nearer the end we're trying to survive the change that's going on elsewhere and still do our jobs and it's getting harder by the minute. That and my team are dropping like flies at the moment really isn't helping. Thank goodness i'm on leave next week, but i'm already worrying about what i'm going to come back to.

i think i'll go and see my doctor whilst i'm off about the operation, maybe those pigs you saw will be flying round here that week.Trouble is again i'm already worrying about how i can get the time off as sickness when i don't want people at work to know the full details as a/ it's none of their business and b/ there's a lot of very judgemental people here who would feel the need to make lots of comments.
  • LT, if you don't want people at work to know whats wrong then speak to either your boss or HR they can arrange that everyone thinks its a sabbatical etc and then no one needs know.

  • oh and remember afterwards when you're back at work if anyone keeps asking why you were off, just say "why do you want to know"? and "were you born nosey or did you take lessons"? Maybe not the last one unless its a last resort but I thought it would make you laugh :o

can't find any more houses that i really like, but then maybe it's too soon to look as we've yet to sell.
think what gets me the most is that they've bought it for investment purposes not to live in it, they're gonna gut it and then probably re sell it, whereas we wanted to live in it forever, guess i'm just being selfish, they have every right to buy it. But i want to cry why couldn't they buy our flat as an investment and then we could have got the house??
    told you i'm very selfish!
  • Hi Lemon

So sorry about the house Lemon. Something will turn up. Your house is out there and you will love it more than this one.

    Take care E
