well i'm trying to get organised, got carrot and red pepper soup on the stove gently bubbling away = hoping it will make a tasty lunch tomorrow. Mr LT prepped the ingredients for a savoury mince meal but just realised i've put some homemade tomato sauce in it duh!! guess we're up for bolognase then. Not that that's a problem as i do love bolognase it's just unexpected. This has all been done whilst sorting out tea... who said men can't multi task?

Lol to tomato sauce in the mince, you could turn it into a mild chilli? Soup sounds lovely, need to let me know how it turns out. I'd love the recipe.

As for the debt, the op (whatever it is) is more important. Its how I got most of my debt, my health came first. Shop around for prices, might sound daft but some may do procedure slightly differently and therefore aftercare is less so the op would cost less iywim. Mine I got charged right down to every single cotton wool ball (nice eh?), but it was worth it. Some health plans let you join if you need an op aas long as you remain a member for 12 months after, that also sometimes works out cheaper also depending on follow ups. I needed regular check ups, MRI's, some other scan that hurt like hell (they injected a tracer into me), various injections and a year of physio after mine so I know most of these pretty well. Also check prices outside your area as well. I didn't have that option for mine at the time but some private hospitals do NHS work and vice versa in the quieter areas.

thanks Uni for that advice. I'm not sure i'm ready to put the type of Op that i'm considering out to the wide world but may just PM the details (not that you've asked for them anyway lol). But your information is very valuable. I will more than likely have to go Private so it will cost money but i shall have a visit to my Dr and tell him categorically that i'd like the op and then see what he says. I suspect if he thinks i can jump through the hoops we'd be talking about 2 years and i'm not sure if i have the patience for that. No pun intended.

No way would I expect you to publish the info LT or tell me if you don't want to. Mine is more widely known as I spoke about it on here as it was happening. NHS GP's will be delighted to refer anyone to go private, believe me. But please do shop around and get a total cost as my after care did add a lot to my final bill (each MRI alone was £1500), so its better to get the full cost in black and white first then you know where you stand.

Mr LT had a bargain shop tonight on the way home.
Pineapple lolly's for 10p a pack, pointy cabbages, 10p, quorn pieces, turkey roast, minted lamb choppy things, all highly reduced and therefore even better :)

not too bad thanks Uni, at least it's friday and hopefully i'll finish work earlier than i did yesterday (almost 8pm :( ). Spent the morning trying to figure out what some people did about 2 years ago so that i could figure out where the differences were in todays numbers - what joy!
Mr LT has a rest day today but is working the weekend :(

Having yummy soup for lunch - more of the carrot and red pepper concoction.
I know you asked for the recipe Uni but it was simply
    Lots of carrots
    a red pepper
    an onion
    some mushrooms
    100ml hm chicken stock
    lots of water
    various herb/spices

which i cooked for aaaaagggggggggeeeeeeeeesssssssss and then blitzed.
I tend to make soup quite thick just by the quantity of veg i put in them
