think what gets me the most is that they've bought it for investment purposes not to live in it, they're gonna gut it and then probably re sell it, whereas we wanted to live in it forever, guess i'm just being selfish, they have every right to buy it. But i want to cry why couldn't they buy our flat as an investment and then we could have got the house??
 told you i'm very selfish!
You're not selfish LT, far from it. Sending you a hug :grouphug: (it'll need to be a furry hug as I'm finding Siberian Husky fur everywhere), as it sounds like you need it. My Mum reckons when something like this happens its usually a blessing in disguise. Mine was going for a job 60 miles from where I live and being gutted I didn't get it after 4 rounds of interviews (I had been made redundant and my redundancy money was at the time running out fast). I got an even better job 8 miles up the road, then promoted and moved office so I'm only 6 miles up the road. I know its no comfort now LT but you will find your dream home and when that happens we'll all be here :T cheering.
As for your time off Pippi's suggestion was a good one, find someone in the company you trust and explain to them the situation and that you would prefer people don't know. The company you work for has a duty of care to your well being and that includes stopping anyone making horrible comments before they even start.

you lot are so nice, glad i have such friends as you are.
i've really realised today that i'm and emotional spender and eater. Always knew it but really can tell it today, all i wanted to do was go out and spend money, especially on chocolate. But just to out and spend money on something.
Recently because of the excitement over the house i've not been bothered about spending money. Still been eating chocolate but not as much.
only good thing is i'm still not buying toiletries, my challenge to myself was to get my stash down to 150 items by May next year, i started the challenge at 200 pieces, but i'm now down to 155. Maybe i should change the target to 100 items, it will certainly still be way to many items. I could also try and sell some i guess as it will take me donkey's years to finish everything off.0

            Morning Lemon
You are not on your own believe me. I am an emotional eater/spender too. If I am under stress I could eat for Ireland! So don't be too hard on ourself.
Sorry to hear you are worried about work etc. Its hard to not to let work overtake everything else but try and detach yourself from it and see it as a means to an end. At the end of the day who cares about you...your family and friends. Look after yourself.
 Take care

I'm an emotional eater/spender too LT, hence my weight over the years has crept up and up.
As for toiletries I'm probably the same but here's what I do (or should that be what I am doing?):-
I split the toiletries up into the following categories:
 1) The stuff I will definitely use and not just as a one off
 2) The stuff that can be used as little presents for people
 3) The stuff that will sell on ebay (I got some Clarins stuff in holiday sizes I won't use so have put it on ebay)
 4) The stuff that doesn't fit into the above categories then get used either as bath/shower cleaner or gets given to the charity shop (that way someone else gets the benefit and the charity gets some money).
Hope this helps.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0

            thank you again everyone.
Uni i've started with a list of everything and much of the things are stuff that i will use given time, it's just going to take me a long time to get through them. I have been raiding my stash as gifts but have to be careful as some of it was gifted to me and i really need to make sure i don't give it back to someone lol I've even turned shampoo and conditioner into laundry products to clear stuff i don't like
sat down at work and made a massive, huge long list of things to get done by Thursday night, once it's down on the list, even if it's not achieved or it grows it's controllable. Well as controllable as anything can be with 40% of the team off sick and the rest of us on the verge of collapse due to stress.0
