Yep! (In other words, since I apparently have to lengthen this post, I don't have one yet - because I can't use a manual.)

And electric wheelchairs are actually made of unicorn tears (well the NHS would make you believe that)

Im suprised ATOS are not allowed to imagine someone using a thought controlled, electric wheelchair that can float over obstacles and upstairs etc.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that

What if you can not get in or out of a wheel chair by your self? would you still be classed as able to mobilize?

The Mobilse test does not consider your ability to get in or out of a wheelchair, however, this is covered (to an extent), by the Standing and Sitting test.

The NHS offered me a powerchair long before I needed one and I also get top level funding so I can choose the right powerchair for me, many people want (not need but want) powerchairs and they dont fulfil any of the criteria and that perpetuates the myth that its impossible to get a NHS powerchair but it wrong.

It also says that an important part of the new process is "likely to be a face-to-face discussion with a healthcare professional"
Ah yes. The elusive 'healthcare professional'. That is to say, some unqualified, paid-on-commission jerk with a chip on their shoulder.
