I have to admit that I did not watch the proramme, but I have read the thread with interest, and honestly don't feel that I have missed much.
In my opinion, Channel 4 would not be seriously interested in the likes of most of the people on DFW, as many of our debts have been incurred through non-sensational spending, which, quite honestly, would be of little interest to the general public and, therefore, would not make for 'good television'. Sure some of our debts, including some of my own, were built up by a certain level of extravagance and living beyond our means, but there aren't many here who, purely as an example, are here because they have 'gambled away the inheritance at Monte Carlo'.
It's a bit like 'Skint' on BBC1 - I am sure that the bunch of 'characters' that they feature are not typical of people in financial hardship, but they do make interesting viewing.
I'm just a bit wary in total of these 'reality' shows.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

There is an interesting thread on this couple over at HPC.
Apparently she is a "Glamour Model"
. Seems like a publicity stunt to me - whoops fell for that! Try googling for "kerri glamour model Norwich" - puts it all into perspective. 0 -

Oh that sucks. I thought she looked a bit flash TBH.
'Spendaholics' and 'Bank of Mum and Dad' are much more realistic...it's how most of us get into debt I guess, a mixture of circumstances, head in the sand, easy credit and extravagance...but in my case eing a little extravagant over a long time not buying flash beemers and handbags! As for the dog - they are blummin expensive, however cute and desirable a mini pug might be...I may be skint but at least I'm Relentlessly Positive!

Jeez, people like her really p*ss me off  No brains whatsoever, yet she can command 40 grand a year for doing f.all
It's like all those TV quiz shows, milking poor dumb folk of their hard earned cash/(benefits
) for the benefit of a few. !!!!!! will the bint do when she looses her looks, either ponce off her next boyfriend, or simply just go bankrupt, then probably claim compensation from someone as she didn't understand the concept of debt. 0 -
She works hard apparently.
Doing what?
I take my top off every day, it's easy...I may be skint but at least I'm Relentlessly Positive!

There you go - looking at her website, it was definitely someone trying to add to their TV. I know someone who works in TV production, and I thought that part of the production team's job was to filter out the wannabes. I guess she was good-looking enough that they didn't care.0

Check out her myspace http://www.myspace.com/kerriparkermodel
Not something she'd be able to put together herself. There's a lot of backing behind her. They must be expecting to make a mint. A lot of it looks phoney. There's pictures of her with the pug. She even professes to read :rotfl:0
