I didn't get how she managed to save them £9845 in 1 month - but the remaining £31k would take 24 months - but she had things to sell

how did she work that out?

and i didn;t like the trailer for nexts weeks episode at the end - they were tieing £20 notes to baloons and letting them off - what a waste of money

She can't sell a car every month can she? (that was £7,900 of the £9,845).

Also, methinks they were fake £20 notes floating to the heavens maybe?

Programmes like this make mee want to cry, when you have worked hard all your life and never even had a £900 car let alone handbag, and knowing that women like that sneer at people like me in our charity shop clothes. Then they probably get paid to do the show and get expert help to sort them out.Well at least the money paid hasn't come out of my tv liscense fee.
no loneranger, you dont need to worry what people like her think of you, you've obviously got much, much more about you than her. :)

Is it not double standards to be slating her for wasting money on handbags. Surely most people in here are in debt for one reason or another, and many through spending on luxuries?
  • Interfered with the Bill.
Besides, the programmes are naff. Make this thread in to a programme about debt management and watch ratings soooooooooooooooooooooar.
  • agree with most posters .... dreadful programme .. absolute rubbish . As someone mentioned .. the most common sense thing was to get rid of the bmw which would get rid of most of her debt in one go.

She ( the girl !) was a real looker but with logic & approach as she had .. boyfriend should run a mile !

Martin . can you find us the email address of the producer / department so we can all send them our thoughts ?? !!

We really do need some quality programmes with sensible information & advice.
These sorts of programmes really annoy / dissapoint me.

I don't think it is double standards Bullygig. IMO she seemed a somewhat silly girl where money was concerned and had a rather ostrich-like attitude to the problem but, yes, 'most people in here are in debt for one reason or another' and IMO I suspect that for many - me included - its NOT through spending on luxuries. There are many reasons why people find themselves in this situation - profligacy being just one - and I suspect this is a minority reason for most - at least on this site.

This is the exact point I was making in my post, because of programmes like this people assume we owe money through living a lavish life,if only that were the case  at least I could have enjoyed getting into debt!
