Dave the funky monkey £10 delivered m&s

Very disappointed with M&S. Ordered mine on 6 Dec and now not being delivered till 6 January. Cant even get store delivery till 4 Jan.
They are blaming the weather but other companies are getting through ok. Also, got another order delivered from M&S which was ordered on the 10th. It's a joke and they are losing a lot of their Scottish customers.

My Dave wasn't working when it was delivered so i took it to my local M&S who said they don't stock it so would just have to refund.

I said no, and took my faulty Dave home. Tried new batteries and he works now in demo mode... But while i had him out of the box i thought i'd test the remote control.

Doesn't work. Unless i point the remote right up his backside and touching, but that's no good is it, as we can't have it on the shoulder..

Do they sell these in any stores then? As i was thinking of trying a few stores in the next town over for an exchange, as i doubt i would get a replacement online in time for xmas, i'm assuming they'd have to receive it back from me before processing another delivery.

I phoned them before i ordered so they ammended it and sent me email confriming :-) they still had the 50% on the icon picture but it was not going through at that :-)

My Dave got delivered on Fri after a call to M&S expressing my concern for it's delivery for xmas.
Have pressed his tummy & he nods head, waves hand a few times & says rawwww (or something)
Will I be ok to leave him in situ assuming he works or should I do a full body check? I have no idea what he ought to do!

The depot wouldnt answer the phone :mad: Theyve answered it once the whole time ive been trying to ring, i had to ring the main number on the website the other day. Im going to ring again tomorrow, i need the parcel tomorrow to wrap and send in with my son to school on tuesday.

So annoyed Have phoned 5 stores and all have sold out, rang the online people and they have it in stock but won't send it out til 29th December "due to weather". Made no difference when i said i have one but it's faulty.

Could they ship one to your local store as they will be having daily deliveries?

I asked this but she made out like it would be sent from the same system that would send it to my address so still not sent til 29th

It might get there quicker though as wont be caught up in parcel backlog.
Maybe worth a try. Not very good customer service though. I havent checked my Dave.

I got him at last!!! He's very cute. I pressed his tummy and he works but haven't tried the remote control yet.
