She may get over the excitement/suprise soon and stop.

Natty - are we playing again today? What time do you want to start?

I have never thought of a chicken being excited/surprised, I just assumed, wrongly, that it was something they just got on with. I shall never see an egg as just an egg again.

    Can I play today?

    Plan is to:

    Get gammon cooking
    hoover the whole house
    mop kitchen floor
    washing
sort out sticks when the frost lifts
    go to B&Q
    make two cakes
    mend duvet cover
write the few cards I have left
delete 50 emails (every day this week)

    Morning all,

    Well done Lil-me. :j

I've only caught up with the last page so have no idea what's going on as usual.

I keep saying it but my house is shocking again. This time though it's not my fault. I've had the most horrific stomach bug ever and spent 2 entire days on the sofa unable to sit up unless it was to be sick and the 3rd day just sat on the sofa. OH had to take time off work and Ds1 who's 13 had to take Ds2 to and from school. It was Ds2's school concert on Thursday at 6pm and i'd spent all day trying to summon up the energy to have a shower and get dressed so i could see it which i just about did and then he told me he had a headache and felt sick so he didn't end up doing it anyway.

Yesterday i had a stall at a charity event so was out all day. Needless to say not a lot has been done this week in the house, not even dailies. So, i have a lot to do today and i want to get the Christmas decs up too at some point today.

I've only just sat down! Give me 5 mins and then I'll join you - still not quite finished the ironing but the end is in sight. I'm going to jhave a break from it for now though as my arms are aching.

Well one party done last night, 30 kids hyped up on sugar. I had to step in to stop a fight, tell them a hundred times to get of the stage before they fell. Then the bullies sister shoved DD before i knew it i was down with finger pointing tell her she would not be doing that again. Then i got the dirty looks all night and heard how they were going to tell their mummy. Then the bully stood in front of me with a few going on about who she would be playing with at school (DD was not mentioned :rotfl:), so another enjoyable night. :D

Second party today which should go alot better, so need to get all bathed and ready. Need to run the hoover through aswell.

    Lil_me thats great news. :j

Better get hubby up we have no milk for a cuppa.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

As for the last bit.. from someone who has been there.. you know when the time is. You have to make your own decisions. You cannot live life in misery for the sake of the children, that just makes them miserable too.

3 weeks after KH left I heard a sound I suddenly realised I had not heard in a very long time.. I am now blubbing.. I stopped and listened and had to go check.. it was DD2 laughing.. She does it a lot now. 3 days after he left DD3 (then aged 7) said 'it was lovely getting ready for school without being screamed at' .. That was the point I knew there was no going back. I couldn't see they were unhappy because we were all unhappy.

just not to feel that exOH was pulling one way and kids pulling another, not to have to tip-toe around the house because he had come in from work at 2pm, eaten, gone to bed, got up, eaten gone back to bed to play on x box, drink beer (yes) and sleep by 9.
Not to have to justify, in summer, going to park after school, to be able to say 'yes' to kids - not to be frightened of telling him DS had done something stupid in case he over-reacted, to have the house redecorated...

    but todays TOP news
    I HAVE HAD A SHOWER :D:D

have list of glitches to send in to plumber's office (just so they and I know what needs to be finished off/sorted still;)) but it works...it all works!

Can the food safety flylady who knows about rice (is it sockdrawer?) show herself please - I need to check something...many thanks! *mwah*
