Perfect end to the day here - told DH again about signing and I'm quitting. He threw a real wobbler, swore and went storming upstairs. Great eh. Do you know, if it wasn't for the kids I really don't know if I'd be with him.
Off to bed now, goodnight everyone xFlymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -

*Just whooshing in and out again....*
Went to see Sean Locke last night - our Christmas pesent to DD's BF, and we got to go too! Very funny.
Today has been a positive whirlwind of shopping, washing, wrapping up - and planning and marking for school.
Tomorrow we're out all day, for our family Christmas dinner - Dad won't be there though - he's having massive problems with new dentures, infections, not healing properly etc, and as he can only eat soup, doesn't want to come. I'l go over after the end of term.
Love and hugs to all of you, and hope to catch up tomorrow evening.
ps Triker - saw the comment on the tuition fees. My niece wants to do medicine, will be starting in 2012, facing the prospect of about £75,000 of debt. What a wonderful start in life. I will have two starting next year I hope, and one in 2012. I don't actually earn enough to cover the fees, let alone living expenses. I'm seriously loking at encouraging DS2 to study in Paris. Many of the courses are taught in English, and fees are about £100 a year.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

Ah, confused daughter! She said candle lit tour was at Provost Skene's house, silk at Maritime.... I am SO looking forward to it! Thanks once again Crafty, you are a star :A! x
"The caring profession" The Fettes fashion drawings and the "life on the rocks" exhibitions also look very interesting. Thank you so much for the links.
ETA ALL the exhibitions look great. That's my itinerary solved:)Saving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.0 -

Since when was it his decision.. I'm sending him a slap and a dose of 'get a grip'.. silly man.. does he want you to waste your time, effort and money?
As for the last bit.. from someone who has been there.. you know when the time is. You have to make your own decisions. You cannot live life in misery for the sake of the children, that just makes them miserable too.
3 weeks after KH left I heard a sound I suddenly realised I had not heard in a very long time.. I am now blubbing.. I stopped and listened and had to go check.. it was DD2 laughing.. She does it a lot now. 3 days after he left DD3 (then aged 7) said 'it was lovely getting ready for school without being screamed at' .. That was the point I knew there was no going back. I couldn't see they were unhappy because we were all unhappy.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
