  • Well this week hasn't really gone to plan as smallest daughter has been very poorly with chicken pox. She had scarlet fever last week and the Dr reckoned her weakened immunity has led to her being absolutely covered from head to toe in spots.

The fact it has been so cold has also meant we have camped out in the only warm room in the house leaving the chaos to itself elsewhere :D

The plus side is I have done loads of work for my "proper" job and crossed off quite a few things that have been sitting on my list for months. So hopefully I will actually be up to date with work when my elder daughter breaks up next Friday.

So on to today, my mother-in-law is baby sitting tonight so we can go to DD1's nativity. Therefore I am having a mad panic tidy and clean - bedrooms are now passable, kitchen is sparkling, play room is ok just need to sort out conservatory (which is really just an extension of the worlds smallest kitchen) and the living room which looks like an explosion in Hamleys.

Can't wait to go out tonight having been trapped indoors for nearly two weeks but wish it was my Mum and not the MIL babysitting.

Must do some ironing too or we're going to run out of clothes.

    Wish me luck.

Can't do the flying today as planned...I can't move in any of the downstairs rooms or the bathroom. I'll be able to wash up but ATM my hands are too cold to grip anything. I know the hot water would help, but my kitchen is freezing as well and I don't want to go dropping anything. Even with a hot drink I can't warm up so I'm going to hibernate under the quilt on the sofa :(

I will fly & do Xmas stuff tomorrow & over the weekend. DD is now desperate to get the tree etc done :rotfl: Also need to do cards, make/wrap pressies & finish my xmas shopping  I really need to get my lists written so I'll do that now IF I can find a working pen & a pad lol:o

Meeting done with the school and i'm so happy.:j:j:j:j:j
We have a plan, DD is to move into the heads classroom after christmas. That way she is away from one of the bullies and her sister ( there is one madam in the heads room but i don't think she'll do to much on her own). Plus she would be moving into that classroom next year anyway and the head can keep a good eye on her.

The head and teacher have both said they can't see any other way as this is going on too long and no matter what has been tried it hasn't worked. Plus if she is in with older ones she might mature abit. :D

Right less of my jumping about better go do some flying. :D
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Hi gang. RANT ALERT! I'm feeling very flustered and stressed so I am taking 2 minutes to off load here, there is nothing you can do I just need to rant. Been having problems with an internal drain that has frozen and is thawing over our changing room at work. I am in charge of the building so rang through to get it seen to yesterday, they reported it as an emergency and were meant to see to it that day, they didn't! I rang at the end of the day and promised someone would be out this morning, they weren't but the water level had subsided so I was going to ring at lunchtime. By then the level had come back due to mild weather but the girls in that room didn't bother to tell me or mop it up they just ignored it. I then found out after putting a ban on any water use in that room that someone had turned the shower on this morning...to see if it worked. Of course it does FW it is the drain that doesn't. Anyway I rang back before I left work and no one can come out until tomorrow. However now it is leaking into the shower room downstairs very close to the lights and electrics. A team of guys have been set up to keep an eye on it including through the night. In the time it took for me to walk home it has got out of control, luckily someone is dealing with it for me while I am not there. I have tomorrow off but no need to go and sort that out, GRRR. RANT OVER

We have also been put on standby to shovel snow around med centres etc in Edinburgh as their council has asked for military assistance, why couldn't my local council have done that? I don't mind going only it will be around all this flood business and I am just too stressed out by that at the mo.

Anyway, my list which I would like to do tomorrow but can see the headless chicken thing happening on Saturday instead.
