I've always felt that a VERY effective way of flying, personally.;)

Living room, kitchen and bathroom are DONE. I also realised one of my downpipes (rainwater/snow drainage) was frozen solid so I have thawed it out by applying hot water externally. There was something VERY satifying about hearing the ice slip down the pipe and the water start to run off it.

OOOh Mudders what FAB vets you have!

Cally I'm ALWAYS tempted but a Radley bag would be an indulgence too far, I feel.

[FONT=&quot]Just back from my DS nursey nativity play, he was brilliant!! Saw one of the mums there whose daughter goes to the same school as my DD and she was talking to the staff about the schools nativity, I made a nice friendly remark and she just looked down her nose and me and turned her back to me, I coudn't believe it, How rude!! Even the nursey teacher was shocked at her behavior. Its only a small school and we are normally a friendly bunch. never mind.
I'm going to package up some ebay parcels and take to the post office. I dont have to do the school run today as DD is going to a friends after tea and before gymnastics.

    See you later. X

    Afternoon all

Just having a wee tea break.

DH office all sparkly clean with a smallish pile of stuff for him to deal with.
    Shower room done
    hallway done
Front door and kitchen doors wiped inside and out

Dusting/tidying of the family room next and then maybe the bathroom depending if I run out of steam or not.

DS3 much better so we've played some board games and he has written a few cards for school.

I completely understand that satisfaction being a woman with somewhat of a drainage history ;)

Mudders - hope DD will be delighted and wishing you all a speedy recovery

    JulieJim
hope you having a lovely birthday

Vanilla - I hope hubbie is not getting stressed out with your sis/bil issues. Great news on DD and I hope it works out.

That was so nicely put lamewolf, thank you. I've made the cage up and we're leaving them to settle. Little monster is running round like a mad thing and the other one is having a slow sniff round. So sweet. Think my daughter will fall in love instantly.

Dusty - now I'm going to keep thinking of you as 'a woman with drainage history':rotfl:. Sorry, that's just made me chuckle!

Washing load on, socks paired, clutter decluttered and pills popped! Is it time for bed yet? xx

Carpets are done and dusted :D They look really good. The landlady chose a dark brown with mid-brown & cream tuft pattern. Since I had permission to change it, I went for the same carpet but in mid-brown with dark brown & cream tufts. It grounds the room enough without making the room look small and looks smart with the magnolia walls :D Very happy.

Since I put DD in ASC I'm going to put the chest of drawers etc back in the bedrooms but not the toy boxes or her desk drawers. I'm going to make DD have a sort out and then this weekend will be a Freegal weekend getting rid of all the things I want gone, as well as a Xmas prep & decorate weekend :D

Thur - FILL IN FORMS & Find letters for Dentist appoint.
    Fri -Work, Dentist 4pm
    Sat - Xmas decorations
Sun - Xmas shopping (anything not needed from town!)
Mon(13th) - Xmas shopping in town.

    Decorating To-Do
    - Paint doors in DD room - they need another coat at least. Cream over pink :o
    - Paint my rooms walls. - Still need to do another coat, but it'll have to be dust sheets & masking tape job after the carpets are done
    - Put up smoke alarm
    - Remount Heating timer.
