Just had a long walk into town for a waxing appt, couldn't decide whether to get the bus home until I saw the length of the queue and decided I would go for a cuppa and then walk home. OH phoned before I set off and said he would pick me up part way home so haven't had to walk all the way :j It is an hour both ways plus I had already walked home from work, it would have taken all night to warm up from that.
I hate to burst anyone's thaw bubble, especially up here but we are due for more cold weather and snow showers at the end of next week. I wonder if they will manage to clear this lot before it starts all over again.

Happy Birthday Mudders, you kept that quiet missus.:bdaycake:
Dinner on, is it just me that can't be bothered to do anything tonight? My get up and go, got up and left 3 days ago and hasn't been seen since.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -

Brrrrrr im back.. finally.. *flops on sofa*
I am sure my dad drives the long way round for the sheer hell of it (I am so not a good passenger)..:o
Mudders.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY..:bdaycake:
My parents have been lovely today but also slowly driven me mad..Dad with his driving every direction but the one we want to go in and mum with her slow walk round the shops then as soon as we get in Te$co where I needed some shopping they went into overdrive!!:eek:
I was dashing down aisles looking for them with hands full of food colouring or bread or the like, like a tazmanian devil... Didn't get much of anything I needed either as I have company this weekend AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.. God love em
I have been out all day so have done nothing, in fact I still have last nights tea pots in the sink... Bad flylady that I am :rotfl:
Need to sort out exactly what I can/have time to do before my guest arrives. He is a man so I don't know why I am flapping and he will only notice if he is fed or not. :rotfl:Am going to go watch the simpsons and finish decorating his christmas cake/present then get the washing up done and sit down and make a list..
Lists make everything alright in my world..

Un oeuf is not un oeuf, it's duex oeuf now! There was another gift waiting for me when I got home. I'm going to make quiche tonight to use up the eggs I bought just this last weekend. If I'm going to start getting them on a daily basis, I need to make sure nothing's wasted.
And, sad person that I am, here's a photo of the first egg...
It's of the order "large" rather than medium or small. I don't know how I'll cook it yet.... May be I'll poach it. Fresh eggs are supposed to be good for that! It is only the one chicken laying at the moment (and I know which one - she comes up and squats in front of me when I go up to her). She's the eldest. I'm sure her younger sister will start in a day or two. The other two are a couple of weeks younger so they may take a bit more time. I'm dead chuffed!
And I arranged my start date for my new job today - I begin a week on Monday. As I have some leave owing, I've got tomorrow off and only go in next Tuesday and Wednesday. I have decided that a new job means I really need to get this !!!!!! pit sorted before I start so I'll be well into the lists of this week and next.
The early start is just so good - the place shuts down for Christmas week so, as I'll be staff, rather than temp, I'll actually get paid for it without it coming out of my general leave entitlement!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
