How many tikkins, sorry chickens, have you got Soappie? We have 4 hybrids - Betsy, Peckish, Mabel and Tikka. We're getting 3 eggs a day and think someone isn't pulling their weight - DH keen to find out who the culprit is and roast her but I'm keeping quiet :)

Ironing all done so treating myself to a glass of prosecco and some crisps before proof reading DS1's coursework.

Our 3 Brahma chickens are still laying but only 1-2 per day. I reckon it's allowed given the weather! ;)

trying to declutter some grey hairs :o in preparation for my birthday w/e. And trying to do Christmas cards at the same time. I'm being taken out to lunch tomorrow by my old PhD supervisor :T (annual event!) which will be lovely. First thing tomorrow though, I'm at my parents' house to let the plumber in, so he can drain the system. Haven't been at home much, so the place doesn't look so bad! :j

hugs to everyone, especially vanilla. And spoons to LL, Diva, toots & LW

and happy birthday to JJ & Mudbath!!

Only four days to the end of term for me, can't wait. Just need to get through a week of glitter, hysteria and too much chocolate.

Actually, that probabaly describes the holidays as well!;)

Long, long list of things to do tomorrow and Saturday....

Love and hugs, especially for toots, and lady-liberty.

:hello:hi to all my flylady friends!

Oh well, landing clear, now got carpet runner spread over the boarding. MIL brought an old rectangular rug (flowery, not really my choice, but much better than concrete floor) with her today. The splats have been fighting over whose rug it is ever since it got rolled out.

DD got chucked off the bus by the snotty old driver because her pass has stopped working. Made one call to get a replacement sent out, one to the bus company to let them know what I think of their drivers throwing 11 year olds out in the dark, making them think that they will get into trouble with the police for fare evasion and saying that he will never let her on his bus ever again. DD's friends paid for her ticket with the next bus and took the old git's registration number, as he had hidden his ID card. So they know exactly who he is.

Fixed DVD player to find disc had fallen off the tray into the back of the machine.

Then remembered that the potatoes should have been in the oven by 5. And promptly sent the Bloke round the chip shop.

Oh, and MIL adored the Christmas present of bird feeder and kilo of sunflower hearts (made her open it as it could be feeding little blue cheepcheeps by tomorrow that way). Her son is, apparently, 'a lovely kind boy' to think of getting it for her.
