  • Congrats Soappie. You can't beat a bit of security, especially when it's backed up with a bit of responsibility.

Oh heavens - MIL is visiting tomorrow. Got to attack the landing now, rather than delaying it.

Have bought tree, it's sitting in garden for assembly tomorrow night. Have got MIL a present - bird feeder & 1kg sunflower hearts, all special offer in garden centre where we got the tree . She loves watching the birds, even though she's a bit vague on the names.

Also got myself a natural wreath with juniper berries and stuff on it, added mistletoe, put that up as the magpies watched me. I wonder how much of it will be left in the morning, as they seem to check out everything I plant/put up?

Nearly got myself caught checking out an outside reindeer light thingy, but dodged behind compost bin, so nobody need know I considered paying out good money for twigs bent round an elk shaped wire frame, with some LEDs wrapped round them. And making The Bloke scale the bay window to attach it out of reach of any local hoolies. But at least I could say 'whilst you've got the steps out, you did say that you'd put the cage with the fat balls in up for me...'

BTW, the only thing worse than having someone else's kid saying they feel sorry for yours (because you're an evil witch - by implication), Piggers, is to be a kid and have people come up and say to you that they really like your mum and they wish she was theirs

Speak to Peter re next Thursday and give him back the books

Off to bed - DH is back and is tired, I'm tired and I know I'm grumpy so going to bed before we end up ! I'm looking forward to snuggling down under my nice clean covers thanks to today's list :)

    Evening,

Soappie - many congrats.I'm still putting away 3 things in each room i go into. Still not making much progress with the lists, but my head is full of so much 'stuff' that it's taking all my energy to not lose the plot.

Am just gonna head for the bath as I am sooo cold. Had to go out to a meeting, and the the heating was a bit dodgy there. Came home to find DH wrapping Christmas presents including the ones for my staff! Bless!

Really need to get my finger out after work tomorrow.

    Hugs to all

Evening - just a quick post as I need some sleep! Flying here has been minimal :o
Anybody recommend DVD titles that DS3 8 nearly 9 might like, ideally films that your kids have watched over and over and that will have some appeal to the teens too

Toy Story (1, 2 and 3) or How to Train Your Dragon appeal to children and adults!

Ah.. but their friends who have met me do say they wish I was their mum.. and my lot say 'have her take her keep her and don't ever bring her back!'

Apparently.. and mortifyingly.. I am a !!!!!!, 'kewl/cool/wikkid/ace/super.. and wonderful' ... not to mention that I make cakes, mash and yorkshire puddings better than anyone else in the world and my spag bol is THE BEST..

I just lack social skills and cannot be arrised with playground politics or most people in general.

Grateful - no is my answer to the handbag but then I'm not really a bag person. Have you looked at John Lewis website or fossil
