Free Unlock codes for Nokia Phones 5 (U.K. Networks Only)

Hi, I have posted 3 times requesting an unlock code for a Cath Kidston Nokia 6111 on Virgin and have had no reply

I took it to a shop to have them do it and they claim it can't be done. Is this the reason why I'm being ignored?

Just in case it is possible and someone is feeling generous, the IMEI is: 359774008711001

Do I have to insert a SIM card from other network in before I key the pin? I switched on the phone without a sim and it just prompted "insert sim card".
