When you accepted the offer via the censusjobs website it gave you the Contract of Employment. That clearly states ONS.

Good God are you still on this thread? Given what an !!!! you've made of yourself claiming you'd done well at the Siftability when it was obvious you hadn't, then hurling abuse at us "working class" collectors, further abuse at Capita and showing an utter disdain for the job, any sensible person might have moved on. :rotfl:
Can I presume you are one of those people who would also be floating around on a Samaritans type forums telling anyone who was desperately depressed to top themselves? Its fairly clear from your style of posting as to what your motivation is.

Regarding Siftability almost certainly the posts advertised by Capita were reserves for the reserves because having those extra people in reserve is a zero cost option for them.
  • Still not heard anything from my co ordinator or Capita. Only 23 days left to do 30 days work - if the work is there?
Come on Capita, get your finger out!.... I give the recruitment process a big thumbs down!
Never in the days of recession have so many been disappointed by so few.

I don't personally agree with everything NonGeographical Man says. However, I am extraordinarily grateful that he is here to act as a counterbalance to those such as yourself, who come across as unbearable Pollyannas and swallowers of the blue pill.

Correct. It will look even worse if you put the wrong Company down as your employer :rotfl:

I expect a lot of people don't know who they work for these days with the way everyone contracts everything out.
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

Pollyannas! Now there's a word you don't see very often! I'm impressed. Not entirely sure what in any of my posts leads you to that conclusion, but think what you will.

As for NGM, you have to wonder why he's still here banging on about the job even though he has posted that he considers the pay derisory, the working conditions dangerous, the employers idiots and the people who actually got the job are "working class". Clearly his monstrous ego has been severely dented by his failure to get the job.

Yes it does, but the HR/Payroll is clearly sub'ed out to Capita, so for the purpose of references they may need to be the ones stated for contact. I have worked/had contract for companies which have no HR function whatsoever, having that function farmed out to specialist HR companies. Therefore in the past I have had to point potential employers the company dealing with HR, not the company I had the contract with, otherwise the reference request would disappear into a black hole. So you do need to double check, in this case, the employee helpdesk may be a good starting point

I'm also still waiting. Not only can Capita not contact my co-ordinator, now they can't find the area manager. What a waste of a week.

And we don't need namecalling either.

    QED

    And on this

"...we don't need pages and pages of him feeling sorry for himself."

You don't speak for me. Please don't presume that you do by using a collective noun.
