I think it must depend on when your co-ordinator authorised the bonus - I can see my payslip but there is no completion payement, only the hours I worked.

Having said that, I worked extra hours on the 7th and 8th May...
  • I have the £45 completion payment and an £8.70 telephone payment in this week's payslip.

You'll have to slow down telboyo or you'll be finished in no time!!!
No problem, we only managed to get 3 extra interviews yesterday. We now know where all the properties are located- 2 of the interviews lasted 30 minutes or more (what can you do when people invite you in and feed you coffee and cake) but we found out valuable information about various properties/residents- which field or farm they are working at this week or where we can find them. Being farmers they tend to be out during daylight hours. We have even stopped a couple tractors and asked the drivers where they live that was succesful.
All in all it is a very enjoyable job- it is market day today so we are not bothering going out as there will be nobody in.

My partner and I are also flying through them. Knocked on 75% of doors at least once, got interviews done for 34% of total households. Think we've had 4 or 5 people who've answered the door and said no. Difficult one to deal with as they're not compulsory. Will bring it up at team meeting.

I got my completetion payment, and £8.70 telephone payment, which was taxed. Does one normally pay income tax on telephone calls?
    No holiday pay yet.

Same here quite a few rejections, but I do actually emphasise with the individuals who are quite rightly wary of doorstep callers. I will be highlighting this at the team meeting (when/where god only knows).

This is where the psychology comes in! Go back in a few days and tell them that you've been able to interview everyone else in their postcode area and you'd just like to give them another opportunity to be part of this important exercise. Assure them that you've had plenty of practice now and the interview can be completed in under 5 minutes.:cool2:

If they've said no, leave them alone. They are legally entitled to say no, and if you are harassing them, you are the one committing the criminal offence.
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

The question I get asked is "why? You have my completed form" "Why should I give information to a stranger on the doorstep?"

Psychology babble works great if your career depends on it. One months temp work does not warrant frightening OAP's. Its not compulsory therefore no means no. Don't get me wrong I will keep knocking and getting as many responses as possible. BUT surely questions need to be asked. WHAT IS IT ALL FOR?
