Are a forbidden topic of conversation at McTavish Manor ever since Mrs McT said she was "going out shopping for a few pairs of Choo's" and I didn't listen closely enough.*
Michty me, that woman brought back half the shop, and a poor traumatised wee credit card with smoke coming off it, screaming and begging for mercy.
They are now forever more known as "the shoes that cannot be named" around here, and it's taken weeks of careful nursing and recuperation for the poor credit card to regain it's health.
On a positive note, Mrs McT has never had me listen as much... I'm positively hanging off every word now.**
*Damn you MSE, and the urge to concentrate on what I'm typing!!!!
** And McTavish you idiot, remember "yes dear" is not an appropriate response to anything involving shopping!!!“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

The thing about choos that made me cross is they say the extra money is partly jusitfied because they are more comfortable. They are not. My Choos are actually probably my least comfortable shoes.0

£70 will buy you completely quality shoes. Anything above and beyond that is vanity, brand and fashion. Which is fine of course.0

And art, and self esteem and big sparkly bits.
I see good fashion (design and manufacture) as good art: I [STRIKE]can[/STRIKE] once could afford a slice of this, where as I never will afford a Caravaggio0 -
to be fair, I've just spent £14.99 for a lunch box0

I must say, my interest in this thread went up considerably with all the mention of bra straps.0

For LIR bra strap level is somewhere below her waist - my mental image of you has just completely changed and now involves watermelons
I think I may be more MSE than some on here - taking the DDs pink lunch box is fine and failing that a Sainsbury's carrier bag will do just as well. Sometimes I wonder if I am cut out to be a management consultant...lostinrates wrote: »My hair looks about bra strap length but actually, if straight, goes down to my bottom.I think....0
