Whereas I would sit in a comfy car, chose my temperature and entertainment and not feel constrained by missing connection times and be able to travel when I wanted - 155 miles isn't very far.
I've never had a car with temperatures .... but the radio's usually worked and you only have to hunt for a new station you can receive every 60-70 miles or so.

    155 miles isn't far.

Generally I don't like to stop.... stopping for me is 'failure'. I like to get where I'm going, soonest, and know I've arrived.

I used to have to travel 400 miles to a client site in one job - and the driving was always started at 6pm when I'd already done a day's work in the office. Company expected me to be on site at 9am. Boss said to me: "why don't you do what I do? Pull in at a service station for 20-30 minutes nap half way".... and I pointed out: He had a top of the range comfy Mercedes, with reclining leather seats - I had a small Citroen and the seats didn't recline at all. He was a male in a strong car, I was a single female in a flimsy car.

    He never did 'get it'.

I left that job after the hours/miles got on top of me.... the interview said "visit client sites, but we like everybody to be back in the office on Fridays", which became: you'll go away and won't even be able to return home for 3 weeks even though you thought you were going for 3 days; your days will be 16 hours long and people will still query why you're not in the office at 9am when you put in a 4am to 5pm day on a client site the day before then drove home in 6-7 hours.

...until I dived into the pool and the water sloshed through the top and the whole thing ended up aeround my waist by the time I surfaced.
Years ago I went swimming with a friend - I was in the pool when she got out up the steps, then walked along the poolside. She was almost half way along the pool before I'd managed to spot the problem and swim over to her to whisper "Hey - quick - your left boob's hanging out!"

It's a hard product to get right and anyone who has owned a low cost swimsuiit and had a super duper one can tell the difference after a few wearings/swimming sessions.
If you ever need some proper swimmers for an all action/water photo shoot .... and fancy a trip down this way on expenses (have a holiday, bill it as work expenses), I've got some contacts.

More should be done at this level IMO, particularly in the creative industries because we have a natural competitive advantage that needs more nurturing.
I know somebody down this way that runs Management Courses - and most of her students are individuals who are creative and make lovely stuff but haven't got a clue about managing any form of business... and she's quite harsh/clear with them about what skills they need to succeed with their talent.

Have you noticed that swimsuits are never photographed in the water/in use for what they are intended for?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

That's because swimwear models can't swim - and their only qualification is to be able to put one hand on their hip and pout into the camera.

That girl who just got married in Monaco can swim, and she'd make a wonderful swimwear model.

pool inflated, filled and......the clouds gather with implausible speed and sit over our previously baking garden. rofl. dh is pretending they aren't there and sitting in the freezing pool with a drink stubbornly.

Surely been looked at in is exactly what they are intended for?

DW has taken the kids to a birthday party so 2 hours of quiet bliss for me - I haven't even put the tennis on just sitting enjoying the fact that I can hear the clocks ticking.
