If these work I might try another colour next year.

    New life, lovely :)

I like that you can grow different colours. Infinitely more practical than dipping sheep in blue dye etc. :)

Yes, henchick appears to be a female, but no sex linked markings so no guarantee issued here! The incubator would be ideal if it produced more hens than cocks. I'd ideally like two cocks four hens please :) One feels light though, so while I've left it in the cooker (bad idea anyone who might stupidly take this as an example of good practise: its not and I should have candled, but...um...didn';t:o) I'm 99% certain its not viable.

I want to give the incubator a good disinfect this weekend and get some more eggs posted out to start next week, this time something else new. Its only because I haven't got a suitable house yet that we don't have quails hatching this summer. I'd LOVE quails.

Thank you for being there last night, I felt so alone and small.

The old is perkier this morning and I deliberately asked specifics. There's no more pain than there ever was. It's a "bottom" thing.... swinging between going too much/not enough and piles :)

    TMI!!!!!!!!

For those that know what it means.... one of my articles has a score of 100. Didn't expect to ever see that. 100 means = lots of traffic and popular/informative and voted up.

Could this be a diet issue and the fact that moving around even less than usual can hinder "keeping regular".

    Thanks.

    One year not "years".

If we had insisted that he work for a year to fund the masters the fees for taught masters are linked to undergraduate fees. So next year the fees will be about 3.7k, wait a year and they will hit 10k.

A few roads away they are doing a flatten and rebuild. Its a kit house. Yesterday the plot was flat as a pancake, today the first floor is up and there are lorry loads of wall sections at the side of the road. All already fitted with windows and painted!

Video here of a house being put together like a 3D jigsaw.

Quite a scary afternoon here.....massive thunderstorm just as school pick up time arrived, on the way to the school, I am going along the road when there was an enormous thunder clap (enough to set car alarms off and make me and what felt like the car, jump) and several flashes, so close they felt like they were hitting the car......and then the house about 50 ft away burst into flames, the lightening had scored a direct hit on it.

You were safe from the lightning inside the car. The biggest risk was that the bang would make you swerve and hit something. It doesn't stop it being an extremely frightening experience if the lightning strike was that close, though. However much our rational minds may cope, our sub-concious knows for sure that lightning is dangerous. :)
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Can I just say that it's perfectly okay to cry? Do you really feel that you mustn't show that in front of your parents? Personally, I'd just cry my eyes out at home, and if they hear you at least they'll feel that you care for them. Maybe they need to have a good cry, too.
