Never dealt with pidgeon attack, but http://www.ehow.com/how_4535994_free-bird-trapped-chimney.html ?
All very well, but that presumes your sitting on the chimney roof and can manage to stay there without falling or freezing as you raise the base at a steady speed of 1-2 inches per minute. On my chimney that would take 3-6 hours!I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I love the RSPCA! They've offered to come out. Can't make today so visiting tomorrow. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Well, I am a wuss, so phoned my mum/sister to come and deal with it. I didn't want to find a dead one riddled with worms ... and I didn't want to find one still alive that started flying around. It turned out to be dead and under the sofa.... no maggots. It was a blackbird.0 -
Phew! I am absolutely shattered...
Brother's wedding today and it has been non stop go since yesterday midday through to just a few minutes ago (apart from about 4 hours to sleep of course last night) but the day went well...even if we did forget to put our button hole roses on in the rush.
Unfortunately because of the wedding, I didn't get out to do my traditional pick up the bargains before closing time at Morrisons and I still have about 100 mince pies to make before the morning..think I may need to dose up on the painkillers as my back is one never ending spasm now.
I was chuffed at how it all turned out though, no-one could ever guess it was all done on a budget....personalised napkins (£5 for 50), decorated table with pull bows (£1.20 for 5), personalised wedding favour thankyou scrolls (£2.50 for 20) and special cardboard wedding plates (£4.50 for 24), column of balloons within balloons on either side of the porch plus two sets for the table (£18 the lot), bridal headress (£4.99), brides dress (less than a fiver), brides flowers (£7.99 and a full trailing bouquet), the list goes on. I even decorated my crutch and my brothers's new mother in law's stick to match the colour scheme with organza and little roses (10 for £3.20)...I must say, I was pretty impressed with the final result of those, they actually looked pretty rather than naff!
With the two tier wedding cake coming in at £37 plus a little extra for toppers and ribbon, plus a home cooked buffet and half price sale bubbly (plus donations of beer and larger) it looked the business but cost very little.
I do love planning a wedding, it gives me one hell of a buzz to be organising something other than school run and appointment times! We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

I've decided not to go either. Its not the end of the world for me.
1. I'm lapsed.
2. I was going to go i our village, a different denomination
I think its really important to support rural communities and church is a part of that, but I also think not giving everyone you are meeting for the first time a cold is part of that too.
DH is not catching mine though. I'm relieved for him but a bit confused.0
