Best wishes to IM and family.
I just saw on FB that daisy had an operation on Tuesday.:(
Hoping it went well for her & the family.
I don't do fb, so to all the nice folk who post updates, many thanks from me.It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
I haven't seen Black Swan and the Wrestler yet, but Pi is excellent and I quite liked The Fountain.
Requiem for a Dream must be one of the most hard hitting movies I've ever seen. A nightmarish unrelenting downward spiral into addiction, relationship breakdown and despair. Brilliant camera work, awesome soundtrack by the Cronos Quartet.
After we watched it, Mrs. Wheezy needed a hug. And so did I.
Clint Mansell does amazing soundtracks.
Requiem is one of those films that part of me feels everyone should watch once.
My jaw fell one night when flicking through the channels I saw they had it on BBC2. Didn't quite think of it as a beeb film. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
There must be lots of dissatisfied people today, sitting at home, finding their way to my websh1tes to discover a new way of living and to suck up the dream from the adverts littered around as my 1pm earnings are just £2 short of what I like to see by 5pm each day. So it looks like a good 'un.
Spent the morning writing more sh1te for my new websh1te... and half way through a hubsh1te too... but stumbled as I needed some screenies from something I was telling people about .... but couldn't get the bl00dy thing to work for me so I am unable to get the screenies to say "Look how easy that is".
It's cool and rains quite often here today.
I've also installed a new directory thingmy, so randomly popping stuff into that as I go. Got an almost half-respectable 50 items in it so far (1000 would be nice, but that'll take time).... and I still need to fiddle with the template to get the ad server delivering dollops of income potential into that space
Oh, top tip for tomterm if he reads this: did you realise/know chitika ads appear on iPad2? Spotted some mobile ads impressions in my account, then read it somwhere that they're iPad2 enabled. All good stuff... saves me wondering !!!!!! one has to do to get cr4p onto iPads/similar.0 -

In my family ''my'' type of hair is called the ''swedish hair''. But its Swedish not in a wavy, thick corn blonde way. Its insanely curly and usually in my family red or blonde. when I bother to ''do it'' its corkscrew curls. when I don't its just a bit of a mess.
today its scraped up in a messy bun while it dries. which leads to ''bit of a mess'' hair.
Sounds gorgeous! I don't ever "do" mine, I only ever wash and condition it. No hair dryers, no styling products. Because although my hair's qutie thick, it's very, very fine and soft, so it would damage easily....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Natural hair colour is brown with coppery bits but is currently a warmer chestnut sort of colour courtesy of hair dye to cover the ever growing grey.
There's a lot to be said for being very fair - you don't seem to go grey, just silvery and look lighter blonde (my mother and Granny, anyway)....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

You are so lucky. I have very definite roots at the moment. I want to find some sort of crayon, make up or hair mascara that will colour them in so I don't have to look at them. Anyone know of a product?
I don't want to have my hair done because I have very expensive highlights put in and don't want a single colour put over the top.
See Wheezy and Gen, you don't have any of this trouble. And I have to carry a hairbrush everywhere! Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

My hair used to be blonde when I was little but has darkened to an unremarkable mousy colour. I have a few greys - they're not very noticeable, and DD pulls them out for me sometimes - I hope she's doing it more or less symmetrically! It's straight and fine. When I had it long (20 years ago - where did that time go?) it would look great for a couple of minutes after I'd brushed it, and then revert to its usual "bit of a mess" style. These days I have it fairly short - wedged at the back, and not too long at the front (it annoys me if it grows long enough to get in my eyes), but enough body in the sides to make sure it doesn't look masculine-short, ISWIM. Most people who know me agree that with my hair type and face shape, I look better with it shortish. I used to brush it when it was long, but find combing it (several times a day) better at its present length.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
