Brilliant advice as ever :) thank you so much :A

WE wre originally going for an outdoor ceremony and I had a rough idea of looking like florence and the machine (not that she has tattoos AFAIK:o but a kind of look that would carry them!) with scruffy hair with daisys in it and maybe a vintage dress....and bare feet... :p...Anyway both the venue and the registrar have hiked prices massively for 2012/13, so it got to the point where the church was a quarter of the price. My MSE principles took over - but now I'm a bit stuck with what 'look' to go for. I don't want to show the tattoos in church really, but it is only an hour or so and so I don't want to be confined to long sleeves all day, as its not really 'me'.

I know, the kids giving away the white virgin bride eh? :D:D:D
Not sure how many will be walking by then, but think I'll be having 4 girls and 4 boys.

Talking of growing thngs, what is the silvery shine on my courgettes and cucumbers? No sign of snails or slugs at all? :o

Also, why have I had no gooseberries for 2 years?

.....And why can't I resolve my own issues?! :D

    Sounds like the timotei advert.
    florence and the machine

The only florence I know is florence from the magic roundabout - I doubt she had tattoos.

Shrugs have short sleeves, so if its arms that need covering, you'll need a cardie or some sort of jacket.

I went to a wedding once where the bride's dress looked a real merangue affair in church, but afterwards layers and layers came off, so it was a demur but not flouncy dress for the reception and a mini length low cut tunic dress for the evening. Very clever.

Could those long glove like things that go all the way up your arms be a solution?

Re gifts, my brother got married in December and as they both had homes with all the relevant bits and pieces, they initially said to people not to worry about buying presents but us knowing them, realised that money was a tad tight and all pretty much gave cash...which was what they had actually wanted but had been too embarrassed to say.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

We asked for John Lewis vouchers as we wanted some linen and bits. We also knew we could use them in Waitrose and keep the cash we would have spent in the supermarket so we could turn them into cash easily! (We didn't end up doing that).

Re the weather, it's a beautiful winters day here. 11C and not a cloud in the sky. Aussies really don't value their winter as a rule. I find it very strange but enormously helpful as I get the outdoors to myself.

Our junior clerk recently married, and asked for vouchers (setting up new home with wife and their baby, previously living with parents). they specified, "vouchers where you can buy furniture and furnishings, such as Argos", clearly wanting Argos. My darling Mama doesn't *do* Argos, but she did stump up £200 in John lewis vouchers (-:
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

I'd not be overly impressed with that... nearest John Lewis is 170 miles away, but there's an Argos half a mile down the road :)

if asking for cash, request for specific things. Friend got cash for honeymoon but had a list saying £50 for a trail walk, £25 for a meal etc etc. They posted photos of facebook doing the activities that people paid for so it was a nice touch.

    Congrats sjay
