I'll see if I can snap her soon. Haven't seen her for a few days. Its rich pickings out there at this time of year for cats. She'll next visit when she's hungry.0 -

I'm so sorry lir, but I have this vision of you calling out to the cat "here Saddam, Saddam!"
And the neighbours saying "it's just the nutty naked woman next door again"Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? LOL. We don't call her Saddam,(that would be silly) she just LOOKS like Saddam. She's called Bombay Duck Doughnut (italian for doughnut is ''bombolone'' not sure about spelling, it might be an e in the middle, I think in practise we put the doughnut bit in front not at the end). An altogether better name for a cat than ''Saddam''0 -

Er, and you think that doesn't make you look like a little nutty when you call it?
"Here, Bombay Duck Doughnut. Where are you Bombay Duck Doughnut? Dinner, Bombay Duck Doughnut !"
Hrmph.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Hrmph.
Surely you mean sound rather than look nutty?
I think we think of her more as a sugary doughnut than a nutty one.
I never ask her where she is, I tend to just talk to her when she's about. Sometimes I shout ''Bombe, supper''
edit: besides, ''tom term'' who are any of us to be talking about names? What would you have called her? (our other cats have their own web-names: pink whistley and mauve squeaker. Sometimes we add ''Brown'' to Bombe's name, we've tried ''Blue'' in the mix too)0 -
I like funny names for pets Dog dog and big dog have funny names too. Though, big -dog's ''short name'' is the same as by M-i-l's. while from her grave it won't offend her I live in fear of my inlaws thinking we've named big- dog after their mother/wife and taking offence.0

I was named after my mum's pet dog. Other people get named after their parent's favourite relatives, but no, I'm named after my mum's favourite pet collie (fortunately my name isn't Lassie or Butch, it is at least a girl's name). Things you wish your parents had never told you. DH teases me regularly about this matter. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
