Eldest has found army boots an excellent snow boot.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
snow boots, just buy them ice grip things (little studs you fix on your shoes).
wageslave:I know all about running off with the wrong 'un. Wish I had someone to blame though. Just let it go, moan and whinge to a few people how you were all set up etc. And find some more interesting gossip to pass round the grapevine, they'll move onto it.

They are really good. My Mum swears by them, she's out in all weathers and walks with a stick so they must work. I like Sorel boots though, not only for the grip but also because they keep your feet warm. There's nothing more miserable than being outside for several hours and not being warm or dry. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

You missed noting the width of the plot, has to be detached, also houses to the left - do you get road noise from cars using the junction and are you overlooked by the houses at 90 degrees. I assume you are west facing based on the high hedge on the right and not on the left despite the overlooking issue.Well that looks a bit of alright doesn't it. Nice that the kids get to use the garden too, with the football nets,.. and not just all kept immaculate for a 'show garden'. Even better if that 'shed' at the bottom of the garden is yours, and not the neighbours behind you. Looks like a log cabin type small house. Also; nice winter scene pic. What made those tracks at the right?I think....0

Wageslave, Sue, everyone else
Even if you did the eggshell thing for years, even if he has treated you like mud and there is no way you would ever want him back, nevertheless it is horrific if the father of your children dies in a road accident.
Believe me.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
We have to go on the roads today as present shopping and stuff to do. can't leave things on hold permanently. trains are unrealiable so we're adding to the danger of the roads. *sigh*0

So much analysis from one photo!
It is detached. The junction is four houses along and very very quiet. Not much beyond the junction to travel to.
All those four houses have gardens about 150 foot long so the first house at 90 degrees has the bottom of its garden past the rose arch in our garden and is hidden by their hedges and our (empty) storage shed - obscured by trees and snow in the picture but at right angles to the summer house.
North-west facing, but the garden is long enough that we still ge the sun most of the year.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. The main advantage of South-facing is when you want to take your morning coffee out onto the patio to sit in the sun. Not such an issue at the moment.
By the way, did OH make it back from Watford yet?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
