The main advantage of South-facing is when you want to take your morning coffee out onto the patio to sit in the sun. Not such an issue at the moment.
By the way, did OH make it back from Watford yet?
True, sun doesn't reach the patio til lunchtime; but then nor do I.
Back from Watford, thanks. Roads not too bad he said, but he's a braver driver than me.
He just told me to go to Tesco! with the added, "if you don't drive like you usually drive, you'll be fine.":mad:I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I pick the wedding cakes up today from friendly Mr M&S....and then (eeekk!) I have to decorate them as they are just plain iced. So scared of beggering them up and making them look awful.
Still to do this week
Dye my hair (kids are starting to take the pee out of the grey poking through)
Make, bake and ice the Christmas cake
Make approx 100 mince pies
Wrap all the presents
Prepare my parents house for the wedding which includes decorating the table, the walls, the entrance etc
Stress over packages not yet arrived (the bridal head dress, youngest's tails suit, table pull bows, crutch bows)
Get last minute presents (no Christmas eve to do it in this year)
Decorate two walking sticks and one crutch
Oh and still look after the boys, do housework, study and go normal food shopping.
Hmm, looking at that list, you would think I am artistic and good at design....erm, I think I am the least artistic one out of the three of us but do have a good eye for what looks posh.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

I just walked home silvercar and wished I'd taken my car because the roads were safer than the pavements. I know people who've travelled to Milton Keynes, Heathrow, St Albans and Stevenage from various parts of Herts and they all say that the roads are much better today. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Inspector, that's the wonderful news we've all wanted to hear. It's better than a present hand delivered by the man in red himself. So pleased for you. Men generally are more gung ho than women about driving. That does not mean they are better drivers - they just think they are.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Fantastic news Inspector. So happy for you all. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas at home and 2011 brings some real and lasting improvements in Daisy's condition.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
I have just added to my oxymoron collection, as I saw a bottle of sugar pills in Boots with the words 'homeopathic potency' on.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
