It's cold here - and just rained. At first the rain was hard and sounded like hail, now it's just heavy showers... but nippy.0

Its slightly crazy that the most fundamental things that should be easy and relaible we buy we can't really try out before use. Cookers, fridges, washing machines, beds, showers/baths. At least you can sit in a bath in a showroom. But beds...you don't know for a couple of nights how it will suit longterm I find. At least a night on it before the final decision made would be good.0

We have a shower....but it doesn't work anymore and hasn't done for about 3 years!
Weather here is sunny and warm, just the right temperature to be honest to be able to wear a t shirt comfortably but not too hot that you get sweaty.
Had a mad dash this morning, middle son had cookery first thing, he was given the list late last week but no pennies left to get the stuff in (apparently it was stuff everyone has in their cupboards....hmmm) so had to wait until this morning to get it before school. Only problem is that with it being first thing, the finished product will be stone cold by the end of school and I will not reheat minced beef (or most other things to be honest - it is one of my OCD things)...so it will probably go to waste if we can't find someone else to have it.
I know it is perfectly ok to reheat the stuff but if I try, I just won't be able to eat it, I will just throw up. It is also one of the reasons I can't batch cook and freeze, it would be a complete waste of time as I wouldn't be able to eat the extra I have frozen, about the only thing I can reheat is stew and even then I struggle to stop retching. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Hmm, just upgraded to Firefox 4, and now every time I click on a link on this forum it's opening a new tab rather than changing pages in the existing tab. It just seems to be this forum, not other websites. Anybody else had this problem? I think that Firefox is not improving over time.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

I actually prefer the opening in a new tab rather than on the existing page....that really annoys me.
I've not upgraded to FF4 though yet.We made it! Ikea let you try their mattresses for 90 nights I think. I loved our old Ikea mattress. I think the Tempur people let you try it too.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I'm quit tempted by memory foam.....dh doesn't like the idea though. Last time I was in a mattress place I lay on a ugely expensive very soft mattress with a sort of integral duvet topper..The type everyone says is a killer for your back, but it felt like being on a cloud all billowy around me, I really wanted it.
Our matress is not in a good state, but the fear of getting a be that makes us less comfortable is significant.0 -

After 90 days would you have to return it to them too?
Cost of moving it around would be more than the cost of a mattress.... but I guess they make the offer knowing it'll treble their sales and nobody will bother returning it.0
