Sex and coffee 'trigger stroke'

Is it just me, or does Britain have a heck of a lot of layers of government these days? Europe, national, regional, council, parish... seems like we could run our 60 million people with a few less politicians? And it's a cut we can all agree with.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Thanks GDB2222
The current setup is similar to this picture
but with a 50A (i think - not at home now) CB for the shower unit.
With a double pole switch in a hallway cupboard, 10mm cable.
Why would it be illegal if I'm just replacing the shower unit?
Got this from the wickes site:
Does the RCD cover the shower? I'm not an electrician, but I thought you need a separate one just for the shower.
Don't know about the wickes comment, but you're not changing like for like if you choose a new brand. Of all the work you might do in the house, wiring in a power shower is potentially the most dangerous. We had one done by a builder and got tingles off it. Got an electrician in who found that the house wiring was wrong. If you are sure you know what you are doing, I guess you'll be okay. Can you get a friend in to take the first shower and test it for you? (Someone unmarried, with no kids.)No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I'll ask that pesky census guy who is always staring at my underwear when I open the door to give it a try first.0
