Hi, sorry to barge in with a completely off-topic question, but do any of you have experience with electric showers?
We now have a "NewTeam 10.4" but it's dying, water pressure and temperature is very shaky and we're replacing it.
Been looking around a bit, Triton and Mira seem to be the main brands. Any recommendations, or ones to avoid?
Also, we're looking to replace with same wattage model (10KW), so I suppose existing wiring and fusing should be ok?
Any advice highly appreciated0 -
Bluetooth is slow, 2.1mbps. So if you had a slow connection you could but you would still need it fairly close as the further the distance the more the signal degrades (dropped packets) slowing it further.
Same principle as WIFI signal just a lot weaker.0 -

Well you could look at a pump and escape the power shower forever and just go for normal mixers.
You can get mixer bars for about £30-£50 on ebay and a pump for around £100.
Not sure how much extra your plumbing costs would be though.0 -

Never heard of Newteam. Unless you are quite careful, the wiring won't match up. For example, the old one had its wiring connector at the top, say, and the new one will be at the bottom.
Are you planning to fit this yourself, even though it's probably illegal for you to do so? Also, will you be fitting one of those natty circuit breakers that saves your life?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Good news is that my hip is ok this morning....I dosed up with pain killers and got into a nice hot bath and then just gently started doing some movements to encourage it to click back into place and it worked.
Such a relief to be able to drive the car today without crying out in pain every time I had to use the clutch but the boys were disappointed, they thought it was a great game yesterday on the drive home from my parents...so much so they were shouting out for me to change gear again so they could hear me yelp!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Most smart phones have built in wifi these days so your laptop just sees it as an access point same as your normal phone line broadband with a wireless access point. It was cool when I used to do this with my Nokia 4 years ago before dongles got popular but old hat nowadays. It also kills the battery to use the phone lie this.
I need a new system boiler - do I need 30 or 35KW? Is Vaillant really the only brand to go for? How can I know whether rerunning the mains supply pipe from the boundary will give me enough pressure and volume to go with a megaflow type pressurised system? House on completion will be about 200sqm with 4 bath/shower rooms.Bluetooth is slow, 2.1mbps. I think you may find that the range of "own brand" leccy showers sold by Wickes are made by Triton.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0

Have you got shares in ebay?;)
When I went to vote last night, it was the first time in my life I have had to queue at a polling station. I was amazed.
I am also amazed that the thread regarding the lib dems hasn't been resurrected. Jeez, they have been hammered. I think Clegg is now even more likely to defect to the tories. Wonder if Huhne will go head to head with him?
Also, I'm finding it quite chucklesome at the influx of some of the more, er, "serious" posters who've joined the thread of late. Not that any of you are unwelcome - it is lovely to converse with you about less hot under the collar subjects. And fun too.:)
Forecast for the weekend is getting rain-ier all the time. Whilst I am glad from a growing point of view, I hope I don't get drenched whilst playing bowls. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Things I have learned whilst doing the census:
There is no recession, especially regarding tourism. After all, it is amazing how many people have "just got back off holiday & haven't had time to do the forms".
Certain areas I have covered abolutely reeked of cannabis. And I mean the whole street, not just specific houses.
People where I covered were quite oblivious to certain risks, leading them to quite happily open their door with a spliff in their hand, bright red eyes, & plumes of smoke billow through the doorway. Do they honestly think people won't notice?
A suprising number of people will not open a door, but will shout stuff to you from behind the door.
People are motivated by the fear of a £1000 fine.
There are a lot of what appear to be vacant houses lying around the UK.
Alcoholics answering the door to you in their underwear is not a pretty sight. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0
